Vietnam Airlines increases flights to Pleiku

In this week from March 15 to 22, flights to Pleiku will be continuously exploited, as the scheduled of closing Pleiku Airport is being suspended. Passengers booking tickets can keep their journey or change to other journey.

Vietnam Airlines has announced that the airline will exploit flights to Pleiku within only 1 week from March 15 to 22 according to the Decision No. 829 of Ministry of Transportation on adjusting permanently closing time of Pleiku Airport issued on March 12. Therefore, passengers buy tickets to Pleiku will be served during the week. Accordingly, VNA will exploit 39 flights by ATR72 aircrafts on route Hanoi - Peliku, Da Nang - Pleiku, and Ho Chi Minh City - Pleiku. Among those, flights from Da Nang to Pleiku are added 2 flights compared with regular schedules to meet the demand of passengers. Passengers changing tickets or buying tickets of other flights to Buon Ma Thuot/Quy Nhon during the time from March 15 - 22 can change tickets in flights to Pleiku, and Vietnam Airlines will support to change tickets without fee, and fare rules.

During the closure time of Pleiku Airport to construct expanding runways, taxiways, and apron from March 23 to October, VN Airlines will suspend flights to/from Pleiku. Passengers can be completely free for changing and refunding tickets which were either ticketed or not on flights between Hanoi and Pleiku, Pleiku and Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang and Pleiku during the time as mentioned above. Passengers can change tickets in flights via Buon Ma Thuot or Quy Nhon. Passengers may have to pay for surcharge due to differences in fare and tax at the time of booking.

ATR72 of Vietnam Airlines at Pleiku Airport

At the same time, to serve passengers when book Vietnam Airlines tickets to Pleiku, the airline also plans to add 10 flights / week to / from Quy Nhon by A321 for passengers to continue to move by road to Pleiku. Mining plan and passenger service in this phase will be implemented as announced launched on March 10, 2015. In addition, the current weather condition is hampering the visibility at Cat Bi Airport (Haiphong), so some flights VN Airlines are affected, including flights between Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City, and Haiphong - Da Nang. At present, Vietnam Airlines adds 2 flights between Hanoi and Saigon, and support transport fee for passengers traveling from Haiphong to Hanoi (300,000 - 400,000 VND) according to current regulation to service traveling demand of passengers.
