Things not allowed on plane Vietnam Airlines

Things not allowed on plane are liquids or items possibly causing injuries, dangerous items, smelly food are often prohibited in Vietnam Airlines flights and other airlines’ flights. Passengers should pay attention the following notes.

Hand baggage containing all important and necessary items along passengers during the flight. The items in hand baggage should not be placed in checked baggage cabin to avoid baggage lost or damage. However, regulations on Vietnam Airlines hand baggage in particular and regulations of other airlines in general do not allow passengers to bring some things on passenger cabin with hand luggage to avoid endangering themselves and other passengers on the flight as well as the safety of the flight. To avoid some unexpected circumstances occurring at the airport, passengers need to pay attention to avoid things not allowed on a plane when preparing hand baggage; instead, you can leave some of them in checked baggage.

Liquid

Water or other kinds of liquids are possibly and impossibly allowed on board. When passing the security screening machine, all kinds of liquid (water, milk, perfume, shampoo...) in hand baggage will be prevailed. The security staff will ask you to remove all liquid out of hand baggage, and not bring on board. If you bring an expensive perfume bottle in hand luggage, you will lose it. However, when passing the security screening machine and entering the lounge area, you can buy water, wine, and perfume to bring on board. In some case, you can bring water on board to prepare milk for your baby.

Cosmetics

All kinds of cosmetics in form of liquid such as shampoo, shower gel, perfume, and cleanser... if exceeding 100ml will not be allowed on board. Therefore, if you want to bring the items on the plane, you must put them in bottles or containers with the capacity of less than 100ml. Please note that, all bottles or containers do not exceed 1000ml (or 10 bottles). Toothbrushes and shaving table are allowed in hand baggage. In addition, according to Vietnam Airlines baggage regulation and regulations of other airlines, these bottles or containers must be placed in a transparent plastic bag.

Knife, scissors

Such items as knives and scissors of all kinds (including folding knife), sharp-point objects such as a screwdriver's head and lighter... can cause damage and injuries. They will be confiscated by security personnel to ensure the safety of flight. However, some other items like a nail clippers, plugs, charger, and keys... are allowed on the plane.

Cameras

Cameras of all kinds will be allowed on the plane. It is highly recommended that cameras should not be put in checked baggage. The security staff will not ensure for the safety of your items if you do not packed your baggage carefully. Legs of cameras are mostly deposited in the compartment of Vietnam Airlines checked baggage, except for some of small and mini tripod.

Food

Almost food without smell and water are allowed to bring in passenger cabin. Remember that you should not inform the check-in staff if you bring food. You just present the hand baggage of 7kg. You will bring food when finishing the check-in procedure and entering the security screening area. Notably, you should not bring coconut, durian, and jackfruit, because they have water and smell. Yet, if durian and jackfruit are divided and put in a close box, they will be allowed on board. Snacks can be brought on board.

These above things in life are allowed and not allowed to bring on board. If you have 20kg of checked baggage, you can put anything you want, except Vietnam Airlines prohibited items to be transported by air.
