The program on adding 20kg Asiana Airlines checked baggage is applied to flights from Hanoi to Seoul (Incheon) or flights from Ho Chi Minh to Seoul (Incheon), both one-way and round-trip flights. The validity of issue and travel is from now to 31 July 2015. Accordingly, each passengers can bring up to 20kg checked baggage in addition to 20kg of Asiana Airlines checked baggage allowance. Thus, the total number of checked baggage that each passenger can bring is up to 40kg/passenger. Please note that the program is just applied to Asiana Airlines tickets to Seoul sold in flights from Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi. Some information about buying checked baggage Asiana Airlines:

Passengers can buy additional baggage online in advance. By this way, passengers will receive incentive rate. In addition, passenger can buy additional baggage at check-in counter with normal fees. Each checked baggage does not exceed 81cm (height) x 119cm (width) x 119cm (length), and 32kg of weight. If passengers buy baggage online for domestic flights, they have several options of 15kg/ 20kg/ 25kg/ 30kg/ 40kg, and 20kg/ 25kg/ 30kg/ 40kg for international flights. Please note that passengers can share the weight of checked baggage with the passengers having the same booking code. Each piece of checked baggage must be less than 32kg, and follow regulations of Asiana Airlines baggage.

If passenger has a checked baggage exceeding the paid excess fee, passenger has to pay more for excess kg. Otherwise, passenger can buy more 15kg of baggage at check-in counter. For baggage as musical instruments as guitar, cello, violin or baggage exceeding the sizes of hand baggage (103x41x41cm), and less than 75kg can be carried on board if passenger books cabin baggage service in advance, and pay the airfare. Asiana Airlines will no apply baggage allowance for the situation. Normally, issues relating to mishandled baggage will be compensated by Asiana Airlines with 20USD/kg. Depending on other regulation, the airline can compensate up to 1810USD/passenger. In case of baggage lost or delayed, passenger has to announce to the baggage claim center. Then, the airline and security agent will make all their effort to solve the problem. It is highly recommended that passenger should not put items with high values in checked baggage to avoid risks during transportation.
