For direct flights from Hong Kong to Qatar on Cathay Pacific Airways or Qatar Airways:

- Adults/children: no limitation on the number of pieces. Each piece of First Class is 50kg (110lbs), Business Class is 40kg (88lbs), Premium Economy is 35kg (77lbs), and Economy Class is 30kg (66lbs).

- Infants (defined as a passenger less than 2 years of age who does not occupy a seat): no restrictions on the number of pieces. Each piece of First/Business/Premium Economy/Economy: 10kg (22lbs) + car seat + stroller.

- Members of The Marco Polo Club: no limitation on the number of pieces. Each piece of Diamond Member can have more 20kg (44lbs), Gold Member can have more 15kg (33lbs), Silver Member can have more 10 kg (22lbs). Applicable to Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flights only.

- Frequent flyers of Oneworld: no limitation on the number of pieces. Each piece of Emerald Member can have Additional 20kg (44lbs), Sapphire Member can have Additional 15kg (33lbs). Applicable to Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flights only.

Pleases note that the weight of any single piece of checked baggage should be less than 32kg (70lb). Exception must be informed when booking/ reservation. Overweight items (Exception: mobility aids, medical equipment, sporting equipment, musical instruments, camera equipment, household effects, pets as baggage and diplomatic baggage) will be repacked or split into lighter units during check-in otherwise will not be accepted for carriage.

- Adults/children: First/ Business/ Premium Economy/ Economy class: 2 Pieces. Each piece of First Class is 32kg (70lbs), Business Class is 32kg (70lbs), Premium Economy is 25kg (55lbs), and Economy Class is 23kg (50lbs). Total dimensions of each piece must not exceed 158cm (62in).

- Infants (defined as a passenger less than 2 years of age who does not occupy a seat): First/ Business/ Premium Economy/ Economy class: 1 Piece. Each piece of First Class is 32kg (70lbs), Business Class is 32kg (70lbs), Premium Economy is 25kg (55lbs), and Economy Class is 23kg (50lbs). Total dimensions of each piece must not exceed 115cm (45in).

- Members of The Marco Polo Club: Diamond and Gold Members (First/ Business/ Premium Economy/ Economy class): 3 Pieces. Each piece of First Class is 32kg (70lbs), Business Class is 32kg (70lbs), Premium Economy is 25kg (55lbs), and Economy Class is 23kg (50lbs). Total dimensions of each piece must not exceed 158cm (62in). Applicable to Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flights only.

- Members of oneworld airline frequent flyer programs: Emerald Members (First/ Business/ Premium Economy/ Economy class): 3 Pieces. Each piece of First Class is 32kg (70lbs), Business Class is 32kg (70lbs), Premium Economy is 25kg (55lbs), and Economy Class is 23kg (50lbs). Total dimensions of each piece must not exceed 158cm (62in). Applicable to Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flights only.

Please note that the baggage does not exceed 32kg (70lbs). Some exceptions must be informed when booking. The excess baggage (except for mobility aids and instruments, medical instruments, sports equipment, musical instruments, cameras, home appliances, pet and diplomatic baggage) will be divided and packed, if not, they will be refused for carriage.

All passengers on international flights to India are required to have their luggage checked at counter of customs. This is required even if the luggage had been tagged along the inland flights in India. Passengers who do not comply will not be guaranteed for the risk of losing luggage.

At the First Class cabin of Cathay Pacific, passengers will have a chance to experience a luxury and well-equipped in the most modern Boeing 777-300ERs.

The First Class is portrayed by a luxurious and professional seats. Passengers can adjust seats and lamp by LCD screen. In addition, the seat is designed to create a bed for passengers to have a comfortable sleep. Furthermore, passengers can enjoy many services and utilities during the flight.

In Business Class of Cathay Pacific, passengers will have a perfect balance of privacy and openness. Our Business Class is currently being offered on our Boeing 777-300ERs and Airbus A330-300s: most versatile seat, flat-out comfort, place for everything, and a world of entertainment with Multi-port Connector, iPod and iPhone...

The Premium Economy Class is designed with a large and cozy space from 26-34 seats. There is room between seats and leg room, which brings a comfort to passengers. Entertainment service is various, providing passengers with interesting moments.

Cathay Pacific makes your Economy Class experience better than ever, beginning with your seat. Ecpnomy class will bring many high-quality services to passengers such as greater recline and comfort, convenient storage space, and a choice of our entertainment or your own. Cathay always try to make your travel as safe and comfortable as possible. In some cases, passengers have to order special needs in flight. Thus, if having any special needs, please contact us as soon as possible.

Notice: Passengers who wish to make a booking that includes any special assistance or has made a booking and would like to add a request for special assistance, please contact us, at least 72 hours in advance to arrange for inflight oxygen, and 48 hours in advance for :

• Medical portable electronic devices
• Travel in a stretcher.
• Travel with a group of ten or more people with disabilities.
• Travel with a service dog on a flight segment scheduled to take 8 hours or more.

Requests made less than 48 hours in advance cannot be guaranteed, but the airline will make all effort to provide the assistance.

In case, upon check-in, you might require additional assistance, check-in staff might require a clarification regarding your special assistance needs. If you are found to be medically unfit to complete the flight or do not comply with our safety guidelines, the airline will refuse to carry and reimburse ticket in full or partially.

Pregnant passengers should consult a doctor before the trip to make sure you have the best situation on the flight. Upon arriving at the airport, please present medical clearance to have the best preparation.

28 weeks:
All pregnancies after 28 weeks need a medical certificate dated within 10 days of the initial outbound travel date, stating:
• whether it is a single or multiple pregnancy
• the estimated time of pregnancy
• the expected date of delivery (EDD)
• health condition of mother and fetus without complications
• that passengers are fit to travel.

If having any medical complications during travel, you would require medical clearance from our medical team prior to your return journey.

Please note that for your safety, if you choose not to carry a medical certificate, if your medical certificate is outdated or if it does not contain the information required, Cathay Pacific Airways will deny your boarding.

32 weeks:
Passengers with uncomplicated multiple pregnancies up to 32 weeks (i.e. 31 weeks + 6 days) are carried by Cathay.

36 weeks:
Passengers with uncomplicated single pregnancies up to 36 weeks (i.e. 35 weeks + 6 days) are carried by Cathay.

Complicated Pregnancies
If passengers have any complications during pregnancy, you must have a medical clearance from the airline's medical team before traveling. Please inform and confirm it no later than 48 hours prior to your planned departure.

Health insurance / travel insurance cover pregnancy-related problems is validity when travelling abroad. You should check whether the medical facilities at the destination country are adequate to cope with any problems which may arise during your visit. It is wise to avoid travel to remote locations whilst pregnant.

If you require medications during your pregnancy, please ensure that you have an adequate supply for the journey. If the destination country requires such prophylaxis, it may be better to postpone the journey until after your pregnancy.

Some countries place limitations on the entry of non-national pregnant women. It is advisable to check with the local consulate to confirm the country specific requirements.

Travel after delivery
Medical clearance is required for passengers travelling within 7 days of their delivery date. Infants cannot travel for 48 hours after birth and need medical clearance to travel between 3 and 7 days after delivery.

To ensure that our elderly passengers at Hong Kong International Airport don't have to queue,there is a special check-in counter in Area C in the Check-In Hall. For other airports, please contact a member of ground staff at the check-in counter for assistance.

Please inform in advance if passengers require special assistance before, during or after the flight.

Cathay Pacific Airways allows passengers to bring certain types of mobility aids such as canes, crutches and walkers on board the aircraft, provided they can be safely stowed within the cabin. For other specific services, passengers should arrange their own assitant.
