Yes, we have special children's meals for infants and other young children, and they are served in special trays with colourful cutlery!

Due to security requirements of US Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Cathay Pacific can not export boarding passengers from the United States more than 24 hours before flying. Passengers may only carry out the check-in procedures for US domestic flights at the counter for 24 hours before flying.

We will look after children aged between 6-12 who are travelling by themselves both inflight and in transit.

Passengers of First Class can bring 15kg (33 lbs), Business Class can bring 10kg (22 lbs), Premium Economy Class can bring 7kg (15lbs), and Economy Class can bring 7kg (15lbs). A free baggage allowance of one cabin bag not exceeding 56x36x23cm (22x14x9 in) in size.

Note:
- For all classes, duty-free items must be placed in cabin baggage allowance.

- In journey of two classes, you can enjoy the greater allowance for the whole journey.

- Infants in all travel classes: A small diaper bag of 10kg (22 lbs) AND car seat AND stroller.

- For direct flights Hong Kong - Auckland on Cathay Pacific Airways or Air New Zealand only: Passengers of First Class, Premium Economy class, Diamond, Gold and Silver members of The Marco Polo Club travelling in Economy class can bring 2 pieces of hand baggage (7kg (15 lbs)/piece and total dimensions of less than 118cm (45 in)/piece. Passengers of Economy Class: 1 piece with weight of 7kg (15 lbs) and total dimensions of less than 118cm (45 in).

- For direct flights Hong Kong - Doha on Cathay Pacific Airways or Qatar Airways only: Passengers of First and Business class can bring 2 pieces of hand baggage: total weight of 15kg (33 lbs), each piece must not exceed: 56cm x 36cm x 23cm (22in x 14in x 9in). Passengers of Premium Economy and Economy class can bring 1 piece of hand baggage: total weight of 7kg (15 lbs), must not exceed: 56cm x 36cm x 23cm (22in x 14in x 9in).

In addition to the standard cabin baggage allowance, passengers can carry on board one of the following items:
- A small handbag or
- A small backpack or
- A briefcase or
- A laptop bag.

Passengers travelling on two sectors with different baggage policies, they can enjoy the greater allowance for the whole journey.

When you are travelling with a child or an infant, you may carry onboard the following item(s) free of charge:
- An approved car safety seat,
- A small bag of food and nappies (for consumption on the flight),
- An umbrella type collapsible stroller (if cabin stowage is available).

- Diamond members can bring 15kg, one bag not exceeding 20cm (8inch) thick when folded in half, or one soft bag not exceeding 20cm (8inch) thick.

- Gold and Silver members can bring 10kg, one bag not exceeding 20cm (8inch) thick when folded in half, or one soft bag not exceeding 20cm (8inch) thick.

For passengers of First Class and Business Class only: Each passenger is entitled to an extra allowance of one garment bag not exceeding 20 cm (8 inch) thick when folded in half, or one soft bag not exceeding 20 cm (8 inch) thick. For all travel classes, duty-free items are included in your cabin baggage allowance.

Passengers departing from or transferring through London Heathrow Airport can bring one more personal item through security control, such as a purse, briefcase, laptop or baby changing bag. All other items such as umbrellas must be placed in checked baggage.

All sharp items are not permitted in checked baggage in flights of Cathay Pacific. Prohibited items include: knives (all types), scissors, tweezers... If any of these items were found in the baggage will be confiscated and not returned. Cathay Pacific will not be responsible for these items.

Passengers should place their cabin baggage in the overhead luggage compartment or under the seat in front of them.

To have a safe flight, passengers should cooperate with flight attendants. On codeshare flights operated by Dragonair, passengers sitting near the emergency exit areas including the over wing exits and bulkhead must place baggage in the overhead lockers. It ensures that there is no obstacles in an emergency.

For baggage that does not fit in these locations, the cabin crew will arrange for it to be placed in the cargo compartment. Observing your baggage limitations is essential for your safety and comfort.

Weight system – for all flights, except flights to the Americas, direct Hong Kong - New Zealand flights, and direct Hong Kong - Qatar flights.

- Adults/children: no limitation on the number of pieces. Each piece of First Class is 40kg (88lbs), Business Class is 30kg (66lbs), Premium Economy is 25kg (55lbs), and Economy Class is 20kg (44lbs).

- Infants (defined as a passenger less than 2 years of age who does not occupy a seat): no limitation on the number of pieces. Each piece of First/Business/Premium Economy/Economy: 10kg (22lbs).

- Members of The Marco Polo Club: no limitation on the number of pieces. Each piece of Diamond Member can have additional 20kg (44lbs), Gold Member can have additional 15kg (33lbs), Silver Member can have additional 10 kg (22lbs). Applicable to Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flights only.

- Members of oneworld airline frequent flyer programs: no limitation on the number of pieces. Each piece of Emerald Member can have Additional 20kg (44lbs), Sapphire Member can have Additional 15kg (33lbs). Applicable to Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flights only.

The weight of a checked baggage should not exceed 32kg (70lb). Other exceptions must be inform upon booking.
