The following items are seen as special baggage on flights of OZ:
- Valuable goods
- Large instruments
- Sport equipment

When checked items are lost or damaged, Asiana Airlines is not liable except for the extent defined by the terms of transportation or the Montreal Convention. When checking special articles, you will need to pay a small extra charge for indemnification of reported value.

Scope of Application of Valuable Goods Reporting System: The reported value of goods will be depended on the evidence, and the maximum reported value is USD 2,500.

Charges applied when reporting valuable goods: USD 0.5 per USD 100 of the reported value. For details, please ask a crew member during your baggage check.

According to Asiana Airlines baggage regulation, most musical instruments must be handled with extra care, and are fragile. Please put them in hard containers or pack them with extra care to prevent damages. When valuable musical instruments are damaged during transportation, Asiana Airlines is not liable except to the extent defined by the terms of transportation or the Montreal Convention.

Yes. Large musical instruments allowed to be transported as carry-on baggage. Musical instruments such as cellos and guitars can be damaged when they are handled as checked baggage. They can be safely transported as carry-on baggage when you purchase an extra seat.

A seat has been booked for the transportation of goods, the regular / special fares for an adult for each route are applied may differ from the fares you have paid. Occupation of a seat is required. Please complete making a reservation and issuing a ticket in advance.
