Yes. Passenger using self-service check-in can confirm an alternate domestic flight to the same destination on the same departure date. Passenger will be provided up to three flight options. If seats are available within 12 hours of departure of alternate flights, pasenger can confirm flight changes with fee when having a discounted fare.

Yes. If passengers are AAdvantage elite-status members (Executive Platinum, Platinum, Gold), or regular AAdvantage members traveling on an unrestricted tickets, they can upgrade to the next class of service on flight.

If a passenger traveling in a group and wishing to request an upgrade, all passengers in one reservation have to request an upgrade. If a passenger do not have enough e-upgrades in his account to use for all itinerary, he must purchase upgrades when check-in. Some international flights may not be entitled to electronic upgrades.

American Airlines has a service of Flagship Suite which is an innovative First Class cabin form equipped on select Boeing 777 on routes between US and transatlantic destinations. The service of Flagship Suite include privacy dividers, individual laptop powerport connections, leather headrests, personal entertainment system and swivel seats. Also, each Flagship Suite will transform into a fully flat when passengers want to sleep, bringing the most comfort to passengers.

American Airlines provides Gate Connect (an in-flight program) with connecting gate information on cabin video screen on all Boeing 777 of AA. The information includes arrival gate and baggage claim, a list of connecting flights departure gates, and praphical desplay of the airport on arrival.

AA uses a "cigarette lighter" style outlet delivering 15 volts of direct current on aircrafts to service needs of all passengers.

On all departing flights around the world, passengers may use cell phone, laptop computer, two-way pager and PDA until the airplane’s door is closed. The use of cell phones is not allowed during flight per Federal Communication Commission rules.
