According to regulations on baggage of United Airlines, to ensure safety and comfort of passengers in flights, the airline has some requirements as follows:

- Apart from hand baggage allowance, passengers can bring other personal items in flights. Baggage should be placed neatly to avoid movement of other passengers. Baggage can be put in the compartment above the seat, or in the leg room.

- The allowed sizes of three dimensions of hand baggage in flights are 22 cm x 35 cm x 56 cm (9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches), including handles and wheels.

- Other items can bring on board with hand baggage are small bag, backpack, laptop, and other small items. These items have three dimensions of 22 cm x 25 cm x 43 cm (9 inches x 10 inches x 17 inches).

- To know the exact sizes of baggage, passengers can check them by bag sizers at the airport lobby. If hand baggage is oversized, they will be transported as checked baggage, and may cost more fee.

- If on-board items are fragile or bulky, they will be transported as cabin baggage. Passengers have to buy a seat in flight to put the item.

The following items are allowed in flights of United Airlines:
• Jacket or umbrella
• Reading material
• Pet carrier (service charges apply)
• FAA-approved child restraint seat
• Diaper bag
• Food or merchandise purchased in the airport
• Assistive devices (collapsible wheelchair, cane, one set of crutches, medical devices needed to administer prescription medications, portable oxygen concentrator, etc.)

Passengers may carry a violin, guitar or other small musical instrument onboard as hand baggage if:
- The instrument can be stowed in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of the passenger
- There is space for stowage at the time when the passenger boards the aircraft
Musical instruments transported must be in hard-shell cases to avoid risks during the transportation.

Yes. Each passenger can bring liquids, gels or aerosols as hand baggage. Each containers of liquids must be less than 100ml. All bottles of liquids must be put in a sealable and transparent plastic bag. The total volume of liquid is not more than 1 liter.

In international flights into the U.S. and connecting to another flight, passenger can bring bottles of liquids in excess of 100ml. These liquids are purchased as duty-free stores. They are placed in an intact designated secure, tamper-evident bag, and successfully screened and cleared by TSA officers. Liquids in opaque, ceramic, or metallic bottles or other containers may prevent the screening. Therefore, liquids that cannot be screened and cleared will not be allowed to remain in hand baggage. They will be put into checked baggage or be thrown away.

United Express flights are often exploited by smaller aircraft than United's ones. Therefore, they have less room in the overhead bins for carry-on baggage. As a result, customers may need to have their baggage transported in the baggae hold. These baggage will be attached with green tags. After the flight, passengers will get their baggage at the planeside, not at the baggage claim.

In flights of EMB170, EMB175 and CRJ-700, passengers can load their hand baggage can be easy to put in bins above the seat, or under the front seat. When traveling with United Express, passengers should ensure to prepare medications and other items which need using during the flight in their smaller hand bag.

In some major flights, items have larger sizes than that of hand baggae or allowed personal items, these items must be transported as checked baggae and get the white tags to the final destination. The charge for the baggage will be counted if it is checked and tagged at the check-in counters. After flights, passengers will get the baggage with white tags at the baggage claim.

Baggage service of Bags VIP luggage is available to passengers in flights within airports in America. US Customs will collect baggage in order to clear customs. Delivery agents are not authorized to collect excess baggage directly from the airline for these passengers.
