Qantas is applicable for a charge to passengers who want toselect seats on international flights, with the exception of Business Class and First Class passengers, Emirates Skywards and Qantas Frequent Flyer members tiers Silver and above, and all passengers who choose a seat in the last 24 hours before departure time. However, if you want to select Exit Row seats, Qantas applies a charge regardless of tier or class of route. To choose and make a payment for a seat with Qantas, you must call a Qantas Contact Centre for the help.

There will be no charge for choosing a seat on domestic flights of Qantas – however, seat option is only possible on certain domestic routes. For routes where seat options are impossible, you can choose a preference for window or aisle seats.

Passengers flying with infants on flights of Qantas cannot select seats, and will automatically be assigned seating in bassinet rows if it is possible.
+ How to receive halal meals on Emirates flights operated by Qantas?

Passengers flying on Emirates flights operated by Qantas between Australia and London Heathrow, through Dubai, will automatically receive halal meals. Passengers flying on any other Qantas itineraries as part of an Emirates codeshare booking or redemption reservation, including both domestic and international Australian itineraries, will need to order halal meals on website again.
+ When flying on a codeshare flight, can I check in at both Qantas and Emirates counters at the airport?

No. You cannot. If you are on a flight operated by Emirates, you need to have to check in at the Emirates counters, and for flights operated by Qantas at the Qantas counters.

You need have to check in once if your routes include both Emirates and Qantas services, and the first flight of your route is only operated by Emirates, you will be checked in right via to your final destination. Boarding passes will also be issued for all sections of your routes at your departure airport.
+ Can I still use the Emirates lounges in Dubai when flying with Qantas from Dubai to Australia?

Yes, you can use the lounges of Emirates in Dubai when flying with Qantas if you are travelling in First Class or Business Class, are an Emirates Skywards Platinum, or Gold or Silver member, are a Qantas Platinum One or Platinum or Gold Frequent Flyer member.

If you are on a flight operated by Qantas (with a QF code), baggage allowances of Qantas will apply for. This includes QF flights redeemed using your Skywards Miles, and connecting domestic and trans-Tasman flights of Australian. However, if a codeshare flight with an EK flight number, but operated by Qantas then Emirates baggage allowances will apply.

Emirates will not be changing any of the free baggage allowances including those for infants or sporting equipment.
