If you already checked out of your hotel but have time before your flight time, or you are on a short stopover in Dubai, why not deposit your luggage at the airport, leaving you free to explore the city without being weighed down by bags. The Left Luggage facility is in the Arrivals area of Emirates Terminal 3, and can be used by both arriving and departing passengers.

Additional information for transporting animals with Emirates
Some restrictions for animals can be transported with Emirates. The total animals listed under CITES, including pets, must be carried as cargo baggage. Further restrictions, consisting of import bans, are available to certain kinds of dogs and cats. You should contact local Emirates office on restricted species.

Animals, which can be allowed to transport as baggage as per the rules above, but with a total route time over 17 hours need also be transported as cargo baggage. Due to high humidity and heat inthe UAE, there is no any bird (except some falcons) which is allowed for transiting via Dubai as checked baggage or cargo baggage between 1st May and 30th September.

If the minimum connecting time for animals which transit via Dubaiis no more than six hours, animals will be transported as baggage and if the minimum connecting time is over six hours, animals will be transported as cargo only.

All animals which are allowed to transport with Emirates need have an available Import permission issued by the destination country and anavailable health certificate (including any applicable vaccination records).However, some certain countries may restrict importation of animals as baggage. A contact number in 24-hour emergency case and the requirement of optimum temperature for animals flying with Emirates must always be shown on the travel container of animal. Emirates will not agree to transport a pregnant animal if it has given birth within travelling 48 hours.

Dangerous Goods may threat to health and safety for passengers or potentially damage the airplane. They are also considered as restricted articles, dangerous materials, and cargo. Transportation of Dangerous Goods is primarily regulated by Civil Aviation Regulations. Dangerous Goods are not allowed to transport in passenger or crew-checked baggage or cabin baggage, with some exceptions.

All cabin baggage must be of a size fitting under the seat in front of each passenger or in one of the overhead lockers on the plane. The placement of bags, briefcases, or other items behind legs of passengers is not allowed, and cabin baggage does not impede aisles or emergency exits, as this is forbidden by the Civil Aviation Authority.
