In-cabin baggage allowances are regulated as follows:

For First or Business Class and Suites: Two pieces of hand baggage with the weight not to exceed 7 kg (15lb) per piece. Total dimension (length x width x height) does not to exceed 115cm (45in) per piece.

For Economy Class: One piece of hand baggage with the total weight not to exceed 7kg (15lb) per piece and total dimension (length x width x height) not to exceed 115cm (45in) per piece.

If possible, infant carrying baskets should be carried in the aircraft's cargo compartment.

Passengers note that there is a weight restriction on the carriage of the following infant:

When you use a carry-cot, the total weight of feeding bottles, food, napkins, and the carrycot is less than 12kg (26lb) and when not use a carry-cot, the total weight of feeding bottles, and food, napkins is less than 6kg (13lb).

In addition to your free cabin baggage allowance, you may also carry on board one of the additional items with free of charge, depending to the every country's local requirement. The articles include handbag, laptop, document bag, camera / camera bag, overcoat, umbrella, a walking stick, a pair of crutches and/or other prosthetic devices for the passenger's use provided the passenger is dependent on them, small amount of duty free goods (where permitted).

Total weight of Infant food and amenities travelling is less than 6kg and the total dimensions for these bags do not exceed the total dimensions of 80cm (sum of length, width, and height) each bag. If it exceed, these items will be counted as part of your standard cabin baggage allowance of the airline. In this case, you will be required to check in either your cabin bag or the additional items.

Yes, you can carry some sporting equipment as Bicycles, Scuba diving equipment, Golfing equipment, Canoes, Surfboards and Ski equipment. These equipment will be counted towards your baggage allowance. If your sporting equipment exceeds the free baggage allowance, you will surely be charged fee as Excess baggage charges. For travel to/from US/Brazil, most sporting equipment is treated as one baggage piece and Canoes (per unit) are treated as two baggage pieces.

Pets including cats and kinds of dogs can be accepted as checked baggage allowance at selected airports. The pet together with the container will be counted towards your baggage allowance. If the pet (together with the container) exceed the free baggage allowance, you will be charged as Excess baggage charges. For carriage of pets for routes to/from Brazil, each pet (together with the container) is counted as two baggage pieces.

According to regulation of the airline, the an oversized musical instrument can only be carried onboard if passengers are travelling in Economy Class and if you purchase an extra seat for Oversized Musical Instruments. The musical instrument will be put on the floor and separately secured by seat belts to the seat frame. Passengers note that Business Class, Suites, Class and First Class do not have suitable seat frames to secure these instruments on. The requirement for the maximum weight and allowable dimension is the weight of 75 kg, the height of 61” and the width of 19" (based on armrest to armrest seat width).

Passengers note that a Double Bass is surely not allowed onboard as it exceeds the height limit set above. Though the guitars are normally less than 7 kg, it may be considered as oversized Musical Instruments because of its dimensions; and may not be allowed in the cabin if passengers do not buy extra seat(s) for it. If you do not purchase an extra seat, your guitar should be packed in a suitable hard case and checked in as checked baggage to avoid damage.

According the regulation, each infant has to travel with a separate adult. Hence, the number of infants cannot be more than the number of adults in one booking. Infants are not permitted to fly with unaccompanied minors and children. If you are a single passenger of adult who is flying with more than one infant, you should contact us for booking assistance.

Infants under 2 years old are not required to have their own seats. So passengers may require the bassinet before payment. However, bassinet request is not confirmed at once for requests made via singaporeair.com. Passengers should contact us to check if your bassinet request is confirmed after you completed your booking transaction. If your bassinet request is not confirmed, Singapore Airlines will provide you with an infant seatbelt and passengers must carry their infant on their lap.

Please check that the bassinet request for infants is applicable only to flights of Singapore Airlines. The used bassinets are 768 L x 298 W x 158 H (mm) in dimension and the airline can support a maximum weight of 14 kg. In USA routes, the used dimension are 30.76 L x 11.96 W x 8 H (inches)and weight of 30.8 lbs. Infants do not fit the bassinet size, they will travel on the lap of passengers of accompanied adult. Note that only one lap infant is allowed per adult.
