Do THAI flights serve special meal for infants?

Special meal for children on THAI flight is possible to request at least 48 hours for international flights before departure time. It is possible to request at first boarding point from TG office for infant from 6 to 10 months of age. If Infant is below 6 months of age, Milk and Powder milk is possible to be requested for instead on international itineraries only. Note that do not specify particular milk brand.

Can the child travel on his/her own when flying with Thai Airlines?

If the child from 5 to 11 years old travel alone and Unaccompanied Minor and he/she will be escorted by THAI staff during a flight, and met on arrival. The parent has provided all necessary documents before the flight and copy of these documents are required to show at check-in counter at the airport. An unaccompanied minor handling fee will be surely charged for international flights.

Yes, THAI serves special meals for children and infants with the request at least 48 hours prior to scheduled departure time. You are not possible to request powder milk or specific brands of baby meals. Except flight number TG2000 – 2999.

What must I do if I need special assistance from THAI Airways?

THAI's Special Unit Officers are placed at various points around the Departure Hall of the airport to support aid passengers who need special assistance services. Wheelchairs service is available. You can request to provide escorts for passengers in need of assistance in flight such as Unaccompanied Minors, young passengers, medical cases.

Does THAI Airlines provide onboard facilities for infants?

Yes, they provide and passenger must make a request with them in advance. Infants are entitled to a baby bassinet on international routes. Note that their weight is not exceeded 10 kg, height is not over 67 cm and infant are less than six months of age. They can be attached to bulkhead anchors. Parents can use their own baby car seat certified by the government of manufacturer's country and provided the infant flying on a ticket with child's fare. Diapers are available onboard and there are fold-down diaper changing boards in the toilets. Except TG2000 – 2999 flight number.

What is the Singapore Airlines checked baggage allowance?

For routes not involving United States / Brazil, the Weight Concept will be applicable. The baggage allowance under the Weight Concept (please note the occupational health safety rule below) is as follows:
Checked baggage allowance for first Class and Suites: 50 kg (110 lb), Business Class: 40 kg (88 lb), Economy Class: 30 kg (66 lb)
PPS Club members are entitled to 100% extra baggage allowance and Kris Flyer Elite Gold members and Star Alliance Gold members are also entitled to an extra 20 kg (44 lb) of free baggage allowance in any class of travel.
Infants are allowed 10kg of checked baggage. In addition, a fully collapsible stroller or pushchair and carry-cot or car seat may be carried in without charge.
For Piece Concept (Available for travelling from 15 Nov 2013)
For routes involving United States / Brazil, the Piece Concept will be applicable. The baggage allowance under the Piece Concept (please note the occupational health safety rule below) is as follows:
First / Business Class and Suites: Two pieces of baggage and the weight of each piece is 32 kg (70 lb).The sum of the height, length, and width of each piece is not exceeded 158 cm (62 in).
Economy Class: Two pieces of baggage and the weight of each piece is 23 kg (50lb) for flying to/from US and 32 kg (70 lbs) for flying to/from Brazil. Note that the sum of the height, length, and width of each piece is not exceeded 158 cm (62 in).
PPS Club members are entitled to 100% extra baggage allowance in any class of the airline and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members and Star Alliance Gold members are entitled to one extra piece of checked baggage in any class of the airline.

Occupational health safety rules require that the checked baggage weight for passengers travelling to and from Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Brunei, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, New York, New Zealand, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom does not exceed 32 kg (70 lb) per piece. Any bag weighing more than 32 kg (70 lb) must be repacked such that each piece weighs less than 32 kg (70 lb). It should be noted that this ‘physical’ baggage weight limitation is an issue relating to Occupational Health Safety and is not related to baggage allowance and excess baggage charges, which is a separate subject matter.
