According to the baggage regulation of Thai Airways, if you buy extra baggage allowance online, it is non-endorsable, is non-refundable and non-transferable. So you cannot get a refund.

The limit of Thai Airways on allowance of extra baggage when purchasing online is applicable only in weight and in pentads basis (every 5kgs will be counted). The maximum of extra baggage online is allowed 30kg per passenger in a flight.

If passenger wants to purchase an online extra baggage, it must be made at least 24 hours before departure time of flight and it is only available for the flight and date shown on the Ancillary voucher.

All passengers are allowed to purchase extra baggage online (except Group reservation, Stand by passenger and Infant passenger are not applicable and unavailable). It is available for tickets of passengers have been issued for Thai Airways operated flights only.

Yes, you are required to present the Ancillary Voucher at check-in counter of airport on departure. The Ancillary Voucher will be available to view and print on confirmation. We will confirm purchasing Excess Baggage to your registered email.

All Thai Airways, operated flights, available for purchasing Excess Baggage online:
- All domestic flights from/to Bangkok.
- All International flights from Bangkok (except flights to Los Angeles)
- All flights to/from Brisbane, Perth, Paris, Frankfurt, London, Brussels, Madrid, Munich, Oslo, Sydney, Melbourne, and Zurich.

When purchasing extra baggage allowance online with Thai Airways, you can make payment by Visa/MasterCard via online payment gate in an easy way.

You are allowed to purchase extra baggage one time online only per person and per sector in each booking. Purchasing any additional Excess Baggage online must be charged fee with the standard rate of Excess baggage at departure airport.

Thai Airways comply with international law when prohibiting the placing of magnetized, inflammable, radioactive, oxidizing, corrosive or explosive articles; pressurized gasses, toxic substances, paint, munitions, mercury, oxygen cylinders, and fireworks in checked or carry-on luggage. In other countries, the items must not be taken aboard the aircraft and prohibited as weapons, strong-smelling materials, lighter fuel and refills, fresh food, fruit or infected live animals. Such items are confiscated and the owner may be a fine, depending on the country. If you are uncertain for any item you are carrying is prohibited or not, please ask the ticket booking agents or the Thai Airways before you arrive at check-in.

Check-in counters for domestic flights open daily between 04:30 am to 22:30 pm and each flight will be closed 30 minutes prior to the estimated departure time. All boarding gates will close 10 minutes prior to the estimated departure time. Please note that during morning and afternoon in rush hours, it is possible to take two hours to go to the airport from a riverside hotel. Plan accordingly.

Check-in counters for International flights open daily between 04:30 am to 01:00 am next day and each flight will be closed 40 minutes prior to the estimated departure time. All boarding gates will close 10 minutes estimated departure time of flight.
