What restricted baggage conditionally carried on ANA aircraft or checked?
Baggage restrictions
The following items can be accepted as carry-on baggage or checked baggage, provided that they meet certain conditions.
Alcoholic Beverages: Liquids including more 24% but no more 70% alcohol by volume are no limits imposed on liquids containing 24% alcohol by volume or less. Total Net Quantity is 5l(Per person). They are carried as carry-on or checked.
Non-radioactive cosmetics / pharmaceuticals (including hairspray) can be are carried as carry-on or checked. Spray bottles should be protected carefully with a cap or other suitable measures to make sure that the contents are not accidentally released. Each passenger are not permitted to bring more than 0.5 kg or 0.5 liters per container
Sporting equipment / household spray products (insect repellent / waterproof sprays, etc.):
- Items which are not a flammable gas or toxic gas
- Items which are protected carefully with a cap or other suitable measures to ensure that the contents are not accidentally released
- Items where no more than 0.5 kg or 0.5 liters is contained in a single container
- They are carried as checked.
- Total Net Quantity is 2kg or 2ℓ (Per person).
Lighters Used for Smoking / Safety Matches: Portable accessories which are used for smoking, and Lighters containing an oil tank (excluding liquefied gas lighters) as well as cigar lighters (*1) which do not include an absorbent (cotton) cannot be carried on or placed in checked baggage. Total Net Quantity is 1PC. They are carried as carry-on.
Dry Ice: Each person allows to bring up to 2.5 kg of dry ice used to refrigerate fresh foods. They are carried as carry-on or checked.
Ammunitions: Each person allows to bring 5kg of ammunition used for sports or hunting, including packaging. They are carried as checked.
Hair curlers: Hair curlers containing hydrocarbon gas provided that a safety cover is securely fitted over the heating element. Gas refills for such curlers are not permitted in checked or carry-on baggage. Hair curlers which include a cloth cover can be carried on to the aircraft or placed in checked luggage provided the gas is removed. They are carried as carry-on or checked.
Spillable Batteries (Rechargeable Batteries): Batteries used for electric wheelchairs or electrically driven auxiliary equipmentis are no restrictions in total net weight and carried as checked.
Inflatable Life Jacket and Spare Cylinder: Life jacket with a portable cylinder filled with carbon dioxide gas installed. Each person can bring one life jacket (two cylinders) and two spare cylinders as carry-on or checked baggage.
Heat Producing Articles:Battery-operated underwater torch lamp (scuba diving light), soldering iron, etc. Battery must be removed to ensure that the item is not accidentally put into operation during transport. Total Net Quantity is no restrictions and they are carried as carry-on or checked.
Electronic devices containing lithium batteries or lithium ion batteries: Electronic devices containing lithium batteries or lithium ion batteries consists of Watches, calculators, cameras, cell phones, personal computers, video cameras, etc. Batteries contained in the device may not exceed the following capacities. (Lithium batteries must be 2 g or less and lithium ion batteries must be 160 Wh or less). Total Net Quantity is no restrictions and they are carried as carry-on or checked.
Spare lithium batteries (Disposable batteries): A lithium content of not more than 2g and the prevention of short circuits are required. Total Net Quantity is no restrictions and they are carried as carry-on.
Spare lithium batteries (Rechargeable batteries): Watt-hour rating exceeding 100 Wh but not exceeding 160 Wh and Each battery should be individually protected to prevent short circuiting. Total Net Quantity is 2PC and they are carried as carry-on.

What kind of animals does All Nippon Airways accept to carry?

All Nippon Airways can accept to transport dogs, small birds, cats, and other small animals such as ferrets, hamsters, and rabbits. ANA will arrest the carriage for short-nosed dogs such as bulldogs during July 1st-September 30th every year.

What are conditions of acceptance for passengers traveling with pets on ANA international flights?

Pets are limited per flight and there are only 3 passengers with pets per flight.
Only one dog, one cat or a pair of birds per one container.
ANA accepts to transport cats, dogs, birdsand other small animals such as hamsters, rabbits, and ferrets.
The whole linear dimensions per container (cage) over 292 cm (115 in.) or the whole weight of pet and container (cage) over 45 kg (100 lb.) will not be accepted.
By right with professional veterinarian point of view, following short-nosed dogs are vulnerable to different environmental health conditions compared to other breeds during June 1st-September 30th every year. (Breeds which are not one of above, even similar names are accepted.) Even when flying outside of this period, please note the days when the temperature is high as it may affect the physical condition of your much-loved pet.
Short-nosed dogs are not permitted to transport as Bulldogs, Boxer, French Bulldog, Boston Terrier, Bull Terrier, Chin, King Charles Spaniel, Tibetan Spaniel, Shih Tzu, Brussels Griffon, Chow Chow, Pug, and Pekingese.
Warm blooded animals only are accepted. Cold blooded animals (such as turtles and lizards), reptiles, and fishes are not accepted.
You should provide sufficient food and water prior to check-in since your pet cannot be fed during the flight and at transit destinations. However, a container is equipped with a water pot and the passenger will be responsible to bring a container for the pet which meets the following conditions.
The container must be clean and leak-proof. You should select Hard type container (metal, rigid plastic, solid wood, etc.). Container with soft type or bag is not accepted. It must have an escape proof function (lockable) and space for the pet to be able to stand, sit, sleep and turn around freely.
Each nation has its own regulations about the import/export of live animals.Before traveling, please be sure to contact the embassy, quarantine office, or other similar authorities of your departure and destinations to determine the required documents for import and export of your pet. This may include an export quarantine certificate, import/export permit, health certificate, and import certificate. Please confirm that you have obtained and completed the required forms in advance.
ANA is not liable for any trouble related to insufficient necessary documents for import and export of live animals.These animals can be carried as cargo only in some countries.

How to make reservations for pets on All Nippon Airways?

You can make a reservation required via telephone.Prior reservation is surely required and are not accepted to reserve online. To make a reservation, best way is to contact ANA International Reservation and Information Centerfor more details. Except Narita=Mumbai route.

You who intend to check-in a pet need to submit a consent form and you need to fill in the required items in advance, print it out and bring it with you to the airport.
At the Departure Airport:You need to prepare necessary required documents for prior importing/exporting your pet, and go to earlier than usual to the check-in counter at the airport.

What is the regulation about All Nippon Airways baggage damaged?
Mishandled baggage
When passengers entrusted baggage for ANA, ANA will be handled with the utmost care until it reaches final destination, but there are some cases, baggage is damaged or does not reach final destination due to unwanted reasons, such as inclement weather or facility requirements. In this case, the airline apologizes in advance for any major inconveniences caused to our customers as a result of loss or damage to baggage.
In the above cases, ANA will respond in good faith to deal with any issues.
In case of damaged baggage, we will handle your claim in accordance with ANA international conditions of carriage.
Declaration Immediately After Landing: When you notice the damage, please report to ANA at once.
Declaration After Leaving the Airport: If passengers notice the damaged baggage after leaving the arrival airport, they need to report it to the airport at point you arrived within the prescribed period extending up to 7 days after the date you received your baggage.
