Firstly, you should report the delayed baggage and reference number to Qatar Airways baggage services desk in the airport. In most cases, delayed baggage can be delivered to you within 24 hours (eg. your home, office, or hotel) if local customs regulations permit. We will take all necessary measures to ensure timely delivery of your checked baggage.
In case you have incurred some expenses due to late delivery of your baggage, we will compensate by reimbursing your reasonable and necessary expense (conditions apply). In the event that baggage is considered to be lost then our compensation will be in accordance with the Montreal Convention, where applicable.

How will Qatar Airways deal with damaged baggage?

If, on arrival, you find that your checked baggage is damaged, please complain in writing to the Qatar Airways baggage services desk- prior to leaving the airport. If the damage is discovered after you have left the airport, you may contact the nearest Qatar Airways office along with a copy of your ticket, claim check, and the damaged bag.
Please ensure your baggage is sufficiently robust, well packed, and properly secured to withstand the usual rigors of air travel.

How to check in online Qatar Airways flights?

You will save much time at the airport by checking-in online. Choose your seat, print your boarding pass, and use the fast-bag-drop counters at the airport to check-in your luggage with ease.
If your flight departs from the US, you can check in online 24hours hours prior to departure and if your flight departure from Doha to the US, check-in online is available 24 hours before flight departure.
For all other flights, passengers can check in online 36 hours to 90 minutes prior to departure.
Online check-in is only available for flights operated by Qatar Airways. Online check-in is not available for passengers departing from Baghdad, Basra, Mashhad, Salalah or Shiraz.
Before using the online check-in, please have the following documents at hand:
- Passports and visas of all travellers
- Privilege Club membership number (if applicable)
