+ What health documentation is required for transport pets?

Special orders

While British Airways does not require a health certificate for your animal, many do require health documents. As it is the passenger's liability to be aware of all regulations, you should consult your veterinarian to ensure that your animal will comply with all requirements. In the UK, the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) - Telephone: +44 (0) 8459 335577 - has information on import requirements to many countries. Alternatively, contact the applicable local High Commission or Embassy for further advice.

+ Do I need a visa beside British Airways tickets?

Ticket

For free, accurate and up-to-the-minute advice on visa requirements and certain types of entrance fees, visit the IATA Travel Centre. You’ll also be able to check passport and health requirements, as well as customs, currency and airport information for your destination.

If it shows you need a visa for your travel, you can apply directly with the embassy or high commission of the country you traveling to — access their website or local consulate to learn more about the process.
+ Do I need to bring passports on all flights of BA Airways?

Ticket

Unless you are flying within only the UK, you’ll need a passport or a valid equivalent travel document for the full duration of your journey.

Besides, certain countries require that the passport is valid for a minimum period beyond your trip — usually three or six months. Access the IATA Travel Centre to check the passport validity requirements of your destination.

Your children will also need their own passports — even infants less than two years of age. Processing times for passports vary but it may take six weeks or longer to get a passport after applying, so we recommend that you wait until your passport has arrived before booking.
