Does Jet Airways transport infants or children?
Special orders
Yes. 9W accepts to transport children between 2 and 12 years old at the time of travel and infant under 2 years old. Infants must be accompanied with an adult at all times throughout the journey. Special meal for children can be requested at least 12 hours before departure.

Can I order bassinets on aircraft of 9W Airways?
Special orders
Passengers can request bassinets for infants less than 11kg (24.25lbs) on international flights operated by aircrafts of A330 and Boeing 777-300ER. The bassinets are usually located behind galleys, lavatories, closets and partitions in Economy.

Does 9W Airlines provide children restrain system on board?
Special orders
No. The service is not provided by the airline. Passengers can bring a Child Restraint System (CRS) for infants inside the aircraft, provided an additional seat has been booked for the infant. If adult does not buy seat for infant, the infant will sit on adult's lap with an infant seat belt. A child restraint system is used for an infant seating on purchased seats. Children between 2 and 4 years old can use restraint system or not, depending on the manufacturer’s guideline.

What are requirement of carrying child restraint system on aircrafts of 9W Airlines?

- An additional seat needs to be purchased for the infant or child using a child restraint system.
- An adult must accompany the infant or child occupying the seat
- The seat for a child restraint cannot be arranged on an exit row or on seats ahead of and behind the exit row.
- The child restraint should be protected to a regular passenger seat at all times or, if not in use, stowed as carry-on baggage.
- When travelling with two children, both using CRS, the child restraints will be installed on the window and middle seats and the accompanying adult will occupy the aisle seat.
- Parents or adult accompanying child/ infant must be properly secured in the restraint with the harness fastened during taxi, take off, landing and whenever the 'Fasten Seat-belt' sign is switched on.
- The device must be installed in the forward-facing aircraft seats according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Will my request of bassinet on aircraft of 9W Airline remains in case of change in aircraft?

In case of a change in aircraft, where the new aircraft has fewer bassinets, the seat previously blocked may not be available. Bassinet seats are limited and subject to availability.

Will Jet Airways service accept to transport pregnant women?

Yes. However, the policy on transporting pregnant women is different from flights within India and flights to Colombo, Dhaka, and Kathmandu and for International flights except Colombo, Dhaka and Kathmandu.

What are regulations of 9W Airlines for transporting pregnant women on domestic flights?

Jet Airways regulates different policies on transporting pregnant women as follows:
- Woman during her pregnancy less than 32 weeks are accepted if there are no prior complications, she must have certificate of fitness to fly from her treating obstetrician; if she has multiple pregnancy/ complicated single pregnancy, she will be accepted till the end of 32 weeks with requirement of fitness to fly certificate and Company Medical Department clearance.
- Woman in between 33 and 36 week of pregnancy with uncomplicated single pregnancy are accepted, if she may have no prior complications; she must have certificate of fitness to fly from her treating obstetrician; if she had multiple pregnancy/ complicated single pregnancy, she is not allowed to travel.
- Woman is in her pregnancy between 37 and 38 weeks with uncomplicated single pregnancy is accepted when she has fitness to fly certificate, is accompanied by at least one MBBS doctor. She also has to submit a Company Medical Department clearance. If she used to have multiple pregnancy/ complicated pregnancy, she is not allowed to travel by air.
- All pregnant women with duration of pregnancy after 38 weeks are not allowed to travel on 9W.

- Woman with duration of pregnancy between 29 and 35 weeks with uncomplicated single pregnancy can travel if she has fitness to fly certificate from here treating obstetrician; those with multiple pregnancy/ complicated single pregnancy can travel till the end of the 32 week, if she has a fitness to fly certificate and a Company Medical Department clearance.
- All women with duration of pregnancy after 35 weeks are not allowed to travel.
- Woman with duration of pregnancy up to 28 weeks can travel if she does not have prior complications
- Woman with duration of pregnancy between 29 and 35 weeks with uncomplicated single pregnancy can travel if she has fitness to fly certificate from here treating obstetrician; those with multiple pregnancy/ complicated single pregnancy can travel till the end of the 32 week, if she has a fitness to fly certificate and a Company Medical Department clearance.
