What are regulations of Jet Airways on transporting medical assistive devices and medication?

Passengers can bring personal electronic respiratory assistive devices such as ventilators, respirators, CPAP and POC, and non-spillable batteries on aircrafts of Jet Airways. These devices are allowed to use in the cabin during flight; yet, the devices must be stowed suitably to the regulation of the airline. Passengers have to ensure that all devices with battery operated can last for 150% of the maximum flight duration.

Can I bring medication and medical devices on Jet Airways flights?

Yes. Passengers can bring prescription medications and medical devices such as syringes or auto-injectors, if they obey the regulations on safety and security on flights. Passengers are responsible for removing used syringes, needles, bandages, catheters and any bio-medical waste items in right place on aircraft.

Does 9W Airways allow me to bring canes or crutches on board?

Yes. Passengers can bring other mobility aids such as canes, crutches and foldable walkers on board. However, they must be stowed in a right manner of not preventing from sliding into the aisle or from obstructing access to emergency exits.

Does JetAirways have any limitations on the number of disable passengers on aircrafts?

No. Jet Airways services always hope to bring the best comfort to passengers. The airline does not restrict the number of passengers with disability or reduced mobility on flights, provided that they are able to physically assist themselves in an emergency evacuation, or they are accompanied by a trained escort. In addition, the maximum number of passengers who are not accompanied by a trained escort with a disability or reduced mobility and need assistance during emergency evacuation will not be more than the minimum number of cabin crew required on that aircraft:

The number of stretchers on each flight of 9W depends on the limitations of the aircraft.

Does 9W Airways transport passengers with visual impairment?
Special orders
Yes. Blind passengers or passengers with sight disabilities are accepted to get onboard. They can travel alone or with companion. The passenger can request wheelchair assistance or help from the airline in advance to enjoy the best arrangement. Passengers with sight disabilities do not have to present medical clearance, unless they require special medical care during flights, or they are having some other existing medical condition.

Will Jet Airways transport passengers with both sight and hearing disability?

Passengers who have both sight and hearing disability should travel with a safety assistant to help passengers communicate with the crew. Also, they should travel with a service dog.

Can I request Jet Airways service dog for passengers with hearing disability?

Yes. Passengers should inform 9W booking agent about the hearing disability. And, passengers will be notified with important information of flight.

Will 9W Airline transport passengers with cognitive disabilities?
Special orders
Yes. However, passengers who require personal or continuous attending care or who are unable to follow safety instructions of Jet Airways must travel with an attendant/escort.

Can I travel with JetAirway if I have temporary disability?

Yes. Passengers with temporarily disability due to medical reasons can travel with Jet Airways if they have consulted their doctor before travelling.
