Passengers who are traveling with e-tickets and have return flights within 24 hours of departure can check in online for both outbound and return flight segments at the same time.

Yes. Passengers can use online check-in if their connecting flights is flights of American Airlines or American Eagle. In case, the connecting flight is another airline, passengers can use online check-in if AA have eticketing agreement with that airline. Boarding pass for airlines other than Ameican Airlines may not be issued depending on AA’s agreement with other carriers involved.

Passengers can click on “Select” button to view or change seats. Passengers will be presented with a seat map. For flights of British Airways, Iberia, or Japan Airlines, passengers can check with the operating carrier for more seat information.

Yes. Passengers have to print boarding pass if they do not choose mobile boarding pass, in order to show to airport security. If traveling on an American Airlines flight, passengers will receive only one boarding pass for each flight. If they are traveling on an American Eagle flight, the airline agent may retain the duplicate copy of the boarding pass and the additional copy is for your records.

Passengers should ensure that they are using an appropriate software (Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader). If your computer does not have one, you can download free from Adobe.

In case, passengers cannot print correctly, they should:
- If using Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, choose Print from the File menu.
- Check the "Print as Image" option in the Print dialog if you are Window users. If you don't see the option to "Print as Image" be sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Download the Adobe Reader for free from Adobe.
- If you are Macintosh users: Change the setting for the popup menu at the top of the dialog from General to Acrobat, and select Print as Image as the print method.
- Select Print

If passengers forget to print boarding pass when check in online, they can view instruction for printing boarding pass after check-in. Passengers can visit curbside check-in, or go to an American Airlines agent to get a boarding pass.

After checking in online, passengers may check your bags by using one of the following options:
- Curbside Check-In for flights within the U.S.
- Self-Service Check-In
- Go to see an American Airlines agent

If passengers cannot make your flights, please contact Reservations before the scheduled departure time to retain the value of your ticket. Charges or fines may apply for changes, depending on the fare paid for the ticket.
