+ How is service of American Airlines unaccompanied minor?

The unaccompanied minor (UM) service of American Airlines is provided to passengers as children traveling alone on AA flights. UM will be boarded onto the aircraft, introduced to the flight attendant, chaperoned during connections and released to the appropriate person at their destination.
+ How much does UM America Airline cost?

The UM service fee of AA is $150 (plus tax) each way. If there are two or more unaccompanied minors from the same family, traveling on the same flights, it will only be charged $150 (plus tax) each way.
+ In which route AA Airlines does not transport unaccompanied children?

American Airlines does not accept unaccompanied children in the following situations:
- A connecting flight to/from US Airways or another airline, including codeshare and oneworld partners
- Ground / co-terminal connections (unaccompanied minors under 15 years old, can’t use ground transportation alone)
+ What are restrictions of children traveling alone on AA flights?

Special orders

- 0-5 years old: may not travel alone in all situation
- 5-7 years old: allowed to travel on non-stop flights only.
- 8-14 years old: allowed on non-stop flights, or connecting flights via Charlotte, NC (CLT), Washington Regan, D.C. (DCA), Dallas Forth Worth, TX (DFW), New York, NY (JFK and LGA), Los Angeles, CA (LAX), Miami, FL (MIA), Chicago, IL (ORD), Philadelphia, PA (PHL) and Phoenix, AZ (PHX).
- 15-17 years old: childrendo not have to use UM service (but still available). Children 16 and above can book American Airlines tickets online.
- Children 2-14 years old can travel as an 'accompanied minor' with someone 16 years or older.
+ Will American allow to transport pregnant women?

Yes. If pregnancy due date of that passenger is within 4 weeks of flight, she must provide a certificate of a doctor which states she has been recently examined and allowed to fly.
+ What are restrictions to pregnant women traveling on American Airways?

For domestic flights:
In flights less than 5 hours, passengers are not allowed to travel within 7 days before/after the date of giving birth. Passengers can travel if having approval from their physician and special assistance. In addition, their physical have to fill out a passenger medical form before departure.

For international flights:
Passengers as pregnant women need to have a clearance from a special assistance coordinator for traveling internationally. Passengers must provide a doctor’s certificate allowing to travel if taking flight within 4 weeks of due date. The certificate also states that the passenger has been examined within the past 48 hours.Passengerscan travel07 days before/after giving birth; it requires a medical form.

In the following cases, passengers have to let American know to support special assistance:
- Must travel with wheelchair
- Need help getting on/off aircraft
- Travel with service animal
- Travel 07 days before/after delivery
- Need adjacent seating for both passengers and personal care attendant
- Travel with medical device run by a battery
- Need disassembly and packaging for mobility assistive device.
- Have any other special requirement
+ What are regulations for service animals on American Airlines flights?

Special orders

Service animals are allowed on all flights of AA. Passengers do not have to pay fee for traveling with animal on board.The request must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Animals must sit on laps of passenger, at passenger’s feet, or under the seat. Animals must be clean, behaved and under control at all times. If animal is too big, it must be checked and kept in a kennel.

Animals are not arranged at any aisle. Passengers cannot sit in an exit row if traveling with service animals.

Passengers have to show some related documents of animals as instructed by the airline.
