Who will transfer UM from Delta Air Lines flights to other flights?

In this case, unaccompanied children will be taken by a badged staff upon the arriving flights. If the connection time is short, the UM will be transferred directly to the connecting departure and take him on board. If the connection time is long, children will be taken to the Delta Sky Zone or other secure location. UM and ticket will be kept by the next Delta’s staff in the room until going to connecting flight. Another staff will take children to boarding gate and introduce the children to the flight attendants.

What to do if flight of my child is delayed by Delta Airlines?

You will be suggest to book flights for another day if there is any changes from Delta.In case, the delay or cancellation occurs en route, Delta will:
- rebook the next flights of available for your children
- stay with your children until they can get on an alternate flight
- contact the adult at the destination who is allowed to pick up the child, or contact the person who is listed in the list of emergency contact.
- provide overnight and meal accommodations for your child in case of overnight delay. A Delta employee will provide supervision to ensure your child's safety during an overnight stay. You will be contacted with pertinent information if this unusual circumstance occurs.

Can I refuse UM services of Delta Airways for my 16 year-old child?

Yes. You should contact the airline when booking. And, your child will have to handle boarding and deplaning or transferring to connecting gates by himself. However, your child is not allowed to leave the airport if not being accompanied by a badged Delta employee or police officer until they reach destination city. You should provide your passengers with a small amount of money, phone contact, food… And, children can ask for assistance from any Delta staff if they have any question.

Will Delta Air Lines transport infants?

Yes. However, infants and small children must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or someone who is at least 18 years old. They must travel in the same cabin. For children under the age of two, it is recommended you purchase a seat on the aircraft and use an approved child safety seat.
If you are traveling with a newborn, Delta and Delta Connection Carrier flights require an approval letter from a physician that states it is appropriate for the newborn to fly. The following infant age restrictions apply to all Delta and Connection Carrier flights:Delta(DL) & DL Connection Carriers – less than 7 days with condition ofLetter of approval from physician.

Yes. Depending on each situation, passengers can bring pets in cabin:
- For flights to Hawaii: pets are not accept as hand baggage; passengers must have health and rabies inoculation certificates dated no more than ten days before travel begins.All cats and dogs are subject to a 120-day quarantine in Hawaii. - For flights to/from Australia or New Zealand: pets are not carried as hand or checked baggage. The only exception is for Service Animals with correct documentation. All pets must enter or depart via cargo.
