- 45 minutes at airports in Baltimore, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York (LGA), Newark, Orlando, Philadephia, Reno, San Juan, Washington Dulles, Washington-Reagan, and Syracuse.
- 40 minutes at airports in Seattle,
- 30 minutes at airports in Cincinnati, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.

For For flights within the United States without baggage:
- 45 minutes at airports in Honolulu, Las Vegas, St. Thomas,Washington-Reagan, and Syracuse.
- 30 minutes at airports in Baltimore, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Dallas-Ft. Worth,Denver,Fort Lauderdale,Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, Orlando, Philadelphia,Reno, San Juan, Seattle, and Washington-Dulles.

Passengers should arrive at the airport 3 hoursbefore the scheduled departure time of international flights. In flights from the United States to other international destinations, passengers must be checked in at least 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time and present at the boarding gate at least 45 minutes before departure. Customers who cannot complete the check-in procedures by these deadlines will not be able to travel on desired flights and change fees may apply.

Make sure you have what you need before you arrive at the security gates. The documentation needed can vary depending on your destination, so it’s good to check ahead to make sure you’re good to go.

For flights within the U.S., U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico: one unexpired form of local or federal government-issued photo ID such as Passport, Driver's License, and Military ID. For international flights from/to US, pasengers must have visa and passport, along with other neccessary documents.

Passengers can early check-in for Delta Air Lines flights from Istanbul to US as the following limits:
- Minimum required baggage security check-in time: 3 hours and 30 minutes before departure.
- Presenting at the boarding pass 90 minutes before departure.

Passengers is recommended to request special assistance when booking tickets through reservation. For example, passengers can order oxygen or a respirator hookup aboard the plane, or if you are shipping certain battery-powered wheelchairs 48-hour advance notice and an early check-in time are required if you need.

Yes. The Delta’s passenger service personnel are available to assist passengers with special needs in boarding, deplaning and connecting with passengers’ flights.

Yes. Delta provides free wheelchair service to and from the gates. Passengers should contact the airline and request when making reservation. When arriving at the airport, passengers can alert a skycap at curbside or a Delta representative at the ticket counter, and a wheelchair will be provided.

Yes. If passengers need boarding assistance, the airline will provide a specially designed "aisle chair" to carry passengers to and from their seat. All Delta aircraft also carries a wheelchair for use between the lavatory and seats.

Yes. If passengers request assistance for a connecting flight, the airline will arrange for a wheelchair to transport passengers to the wishing gate. Electric cart transportation is available at some major airports in Atlanta, Cincinnati and New York (JFK Airport). If passengers’ trip is over, passengers can be taken to the baggage claim area or wherever they want to go in the airport.

Passengers are not forced to request a wheelchair in advance, but if ordering prior to arriving at the airport will helps the airline provide passengers with better service. It also helps if passengers alertDelta of their wheelchair request when they arrive at the airport for theirdeparture.
