An infant at least 7 days old on the date of travel is permitted to fly with Etihad.

Yes, you can book online for an infant, only if you are an adult and booked along with an adult.

It is and you cannot add online, so you need to contact the airline to add an infant to an existing booking.

Etihad has regulation for free checked baggage allowance as follows:
- First Class: Baggage with a maximum weight not exceeding 50kg
- Business Class: Baggage with a maximum weight not exceeding 40kg
- Economy Class: Baggage with a maximum weight not exceeding 30kg
- Infant: 1 bag up to 10kg.

Dimensions for flights to/from all other destinations: 207cm (45 x 72 x 90).

Even if you select to exceed your free baggage allowance (at additional cost), each item must be less than 32kg.

For flights from/to US and Canada:

- Infants: 1 baggage with maximum weight up to 23 kg:

Dimensions for flights to/from the US, Canada and Brazil: 158cm (50 x 70 x 38).

Etihad regulation for each item must be less than 32kg and dimensions of 207cm (45 x 72 x 90). Note that it is not applicable for flights to/from US, Canada and Brazil.

According to regulation, dimensions of each item must be less than 111 cm (40 x 50 x 21). Free hand baggage allowance for all destinations as follows:

- First Class: 2 bags total of 12kg.
- Business Class: 2 bags total of 12kg.
- Economy Class: 1 bag up to 7kg.
- Infant: 1 bag up to 5kg.

When an infant is carried in either a carrycot or car seat, the following items may be transported with free of charge provided that the total weight (excluding the infant) is less than 5kg: bedding, napkins, feeding bottles and sufficient food for the journey.

If your route includes flights marketed by partner airlines other than Etihad Airways, different baggage allowance rules may apply. For existing bookings, your ticket will often have full details of your baggage allowances for each flight in your route.

In addition to your free hand baggage allowance, the following carry-on items can be taken on the flight freely: Handbag, pocket book or purse, overcoat, wrap or blanket, Umbrella or walking stick, Small camera and / or binoculars, Mobile phone, A reasonable amount of reading matter for the flight, Infant food for the journey, Infant carry basket / carry cot, Braces or prosthetic devices (provided the guest is dependent on them).

Briefcase or portable PC is considered as baggage which is not being used as a container for transporting of items (should not activate laptops without knowledge of flight crew).

Weapons, explosives, chemicals and toxins are Items which are not permitted at secure areas of an airport. Certain items cannot be brought as hand baggage, but may be permitted as checked baggage.

Weapons include Ammunition, Blasting caps, Detonators and fuses, Explosives and explosive devices, Replica or imitation explosive material or devices, Grenades, Gas and gas containers (such as butane, propane, acetylene, oxygen), Fireworks, flares and other pyrotechnics (including party poppers and toy caps), Non-safety matches, Smoke generating canisters or cartridges, Flammable liquid fuel (such as petrol / gasoline, diesel, lighter fluid, alcohol, ethanol), Aerosol spray paint, Turpentine and paint thinner, Alcoholic beverages exceeding 70% by volume.

Explosives include Pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, pellet guns, etc.
- Replica and imitation firearms.
- Components of firearms (excluding telescopic sighting devices & sights).
- Toy guns of all types.
- Crossbows.
- Catapults.
- Harpoon and spear guns.
- Stun or shocking devices such as cattle prods, ballistic conducted energy weapons, etc.

Chemicals and toxins as follows:
- Acids and alkalis such as wet batteries that may spill.
- Corrosive or bleaching substances such as mercury, chlorine, etc.
- Disabling or incapacitating sprays such as mace, pepper, tear gas.
- Radioactive material such as medicinal or commercial isotopes.
- Poisons.
- Infectious or hazardous biological material such as infected blood, bacteria and viruses.
