Passengers can bring checked baggage allowance as regulation, the conditions, and limitations of Thai Airways and the weight allowance:
- All within Thailand Domestic sectors
- A route within TC3 (Asia, Australia, New Zealand) and a route between TC2 (Europe, Africa, Middle East) and TC3 (Asia, Australia, New Zealand)
- Apply for a route: To/From the USA and Canada.

Thai Airways regulates Checked Baggage as follows:
- Royal Silk Class: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 40 kg.
- Economy Class: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 30 kg.
- Infant not occupying a seat: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 10 kg.
- ROP & Star Alliance Gold Members Extra: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 20 kg.
- ROP Silver Member (On TG sectors only) Extra: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 10 kg.

Thai Airways regulates Checked Baggage for international sectors TC3, between TC2 and TC3 as follows:
- Royal First Class: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 50 kg.
- Royal Silk Class: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 40 kg.
- Premium Economy Class: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 30 kg.
- Economy Class: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 30 kg.
- Infant not occupying a seat: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 10 kg.
- ROP & Star Alliance Gold Members Extra: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 20 kg.
- ROP Silver Member (On TG sectors only) Extra: Maximum combined weight of all pieces is 10 kg.

Passengers are permitted to carry free of charge baggage as regulation, the conditions, and limitations of Thai Airways and the weight allowance.

For travelling to and from the United States, passengers are permitted to carry a free baggage allowance for both adults and infant according to checked baggage regulations for international sectors to/from USA/Canada as follows:

Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class (Business Class) will be free with baggage allowance of two pieces. Each piece weight shall not be over 32kg and maximum dimension in total per bag (length + width + height) shall not exceed 158cm.

Economy class will be free with baggage allowance of two pieces. The each item weight shall not be over 23kg and maximum dimension in total per bag (length + width + height) shall not exceed 158cm.

Infant not occupying seat will be free with baggage allowance of one piece. The each item weight shall not be over 23kg and maximum dimension in total per bag (length + width + height) shall not exceed 115cm.

Royal Orchid Plus (ROP) Gold Card members will enjoy the privilege of one extra baggage on top of the regular allowance in any ticket class. The applicable privilege will be used along with the frequent flyer status to only those tickets that are completely online or involved interline transportation with other carriers who agreed to the applicable privilege of the bonus.

Total weight of hand baggage must be less than 7 kg, each passenger is allowed to carry one baggage at maximum length 56 cm, thickness 25 cm and width 45 cm. These dimensions include handles, wheels, and side pockets.

Passengers are required to place the hand baggage under the seat in front of them or in the overhead compartment on flight.

Passengers can bring the following free of charge items:
- Wallet, purse, handbag with the maximum 37.5 cm long, 25 cm wide, 12.5 cm deep or total three dimensions are not over 75 cm and the total weight is not over 1.5kgs. Laptop, notebooks, or portable personal computers are also applicable as above condition.
- Handicapped passengers, elderly passengers and sick passengers must use walking sticks (crutches).
- Telephone, camera or small binoculars
- Infant food and drink

All excess baggage for domestic sectors must be carefully evaluated and charged as regulation prior to the passenger on board the aircraft.

The allowance of checked baggage maybe depend on cabin, itinerary and date of purchase, status level, military status.

It is applicable to a checked portion of flying on Thai Airways domestic sectors, excess baggage is in weight regulation on a fixed charge rate as below.
- Bangkok – Chiang Mai route: 60THB/kg
- Bangkok – Chiang Rai route: 70THB/kg
- Bangkok – Hat Yai route: 80THB/kg
- Bangkok – Khon Kaen route: 55THB/kg
- Bangkok – Krabi route: 70THB/kg
- Bangkok – Koh Samui route: 95THB/kg
- Bangkok – Phu Ket route: 70THB/kg
- Bangkok – Surat Thani route: 65THB/kg
- Bangkok – Ubon Ratchathani route: 60TBH/kg
- Bangkok – Udon Thani route: 55TBH/kg
- Chiang Mai – Phuket route: 125TBH/kg.

Excess Baggage Charges (Within TC3, Between TC2 and TC3)

All excess baggage for international Sectors TC3, Between TC2 and TC3must be carefully evaluated and charged as regulation prior to the passenger on board the aircraft.

The allowance of checked baggage maybe depend on cabin, itinerary and date of purchase, status level, military status.

If you carry excess baggage (do not distinguish of the class paid for and used by the passenger), the fare is the following charged:

It is applicable to a checked portion of flying on Thai Airways international sectors within TC3, Between TC2 and TC3, excess baggage is in weight regulation on a fixed charge rate as below:

- Zone 1 to Zones 1,2,3,4,5 respectively: 7 USD/ kg, 10 USD/ kg, 25 USD/ kg, 30 USD/ kg, 55 USD/ kg
- Zone 2 to Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 respectively: 10 USD/ kg, 25 USD/kg, 30USD/ kg, 35 USD/kg, 55 USD/ kg
- Zone 3 to Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 respectively: 25USD/ kg, 30USD/kg, 35USD/ kg, 40USD/kg, 55USD/kg
- Zone 4 to Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 respectively: 30USD/ kg, 35USD/kg, 40USD/ kg, 55USD/kg, 55USD/kg.
- Zone 5 to Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5: 55USD/kg.

If you carry on excess baggage of the free baggage allowance (do not distinguish of the class paid for and used by the passenger), the fare is the following charged:
Excess Baggage fare rate for a checked portion of flying to/from USA/Canada on a zone basis listed below:
- From Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 to Zone 6: 119USD/piece
- From 6 to Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6:119USD/ piece

To/From USA and Canada:
- Each excess baggage charge: USD119
- Oversized Baggage: each bag (Piece) exceeding the dimension of 62 inches (158cm) but not exceeding 80 inches (203 cm): USD119
- Twice the applicable excess baggage charge shall apply to
the excess number plus oversized:
1. Each bag (Piece) exceeding 2 checked bags (Piece) and
2. Exceeding the dimension of 62 inches (158 cm), but not exceeding 80 inches (203 cm): USD238

- Oversized/Overweight baggage. Such bag (Piece) shall be weighed and shall be charged at 3 times the applicable excess baggage charges for the first 45 kg of fraction thereof for each additional 10 kg. Of the fraction thereof, 1 (One) additional excess baggage charge shall be applied: USD119 X 3

Sport/Special baggage within TC3, between TC2 and TC3 or to/from USA/Canada) is regulated as follows:

Sport/Special baggage is allowed to carry as checked baggage as bike, bowling, fishing equipment, golfing, snow/water skiing, surfboard/windsurf, scuba diving, sporting firearms, one portable musical instrument. Note that:

Bike: Only allow 1 bike per passenger to be included in the check baggage allowance.
Golfing: Only allow 1 golf set per passenger to be included in the check baggage allowance.

Surfboard/Windsurf: Exclude in check baggage allowance. Except if passenger fly to/from New Zealand/Australia, the surfboard impossible able to include in the checked baggage allowance. In case it exceeds the baggage allowance, passenger must pay special unit price (flat rates).

AVIH (Dog or Cat carried as checked baggage with charges): Often exclude in the allowance, Only Dog or Cat is only accepted to some fixed destinations because of regulations of each countries. Not applicable for Aircraft A320 because of the compartment is not designed (from the manufacturer) to accommodate live animal.

You are allowed to carry the luggage of Thai Airways as follows:
- Royal First Class is 50 kg
- Royal Silk Class: 40 kg
- Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers: 30 kg
- Royal Orchid Plus Gold Card Members are entitled to check an additional 20 kg.
- Royal Orchid Plus Silver Card Members can check an additional 10 of luggage.
- Infants (not occupying a seat) are allowed 10 kg excluding one fully-collapsible child stroller, pushchair, or infant carrying basket.
- Except flights of Thai Smile are allowed 30kgs for premium Economy and 20kgs for Economy classes.
- For anyone travelling to/ from Canada and the U.S.A., the regulations apply to pieces of checked baggage. The total of the three dimensions (length + height + width) for each piece are not exceeded 158 cm (62 inches). The maximum weight per piece of baggage is 32 kg (70 lbs.) for Royal First and Royal Silk Class and 23 kg (50 lbs.) for Economy Premium and Economy Class.
- A child (2-11 years) occupying a seat is entitled to the same free luggage as an adult.
- An infant will not occupy the seat and is entitled to one checked luggage piece with total weight of 23 kg, the total of three dimensions not exceed 115 cm. It is also free for one fully-collapsible child stroller, infant-carrying basket or pushchair.

You are allowed to carry one piece of carry-on luggage with total dimensions (long+ high+ wide) not exceeding 115 cm (56 + 46 + 25 cm) and maximum weight of one pieces 7 kg (15.4 lbs). If pieces exceed the regulation, they must be checked at the Check-in counter before the time of departure. Note that a woman is allowed to carry a purse as well.
