Yes, Lao Airlines offers wheelchair service to passengers who have difficulties walking or moving on their own (Disabilities). The passenger has to request for this service through Lao Airlines office or the booking agents 3 days before the time of departure but it is not mandatory.

1. Passengers between 2 and11 years old are considered to be children and are required to buy child tickets.
2. Passengers less than two years old are considered to be infant and are required to buy infant tickets.
3. An Infant cannot occupy a seat alone. If it is necessary for the infant to occupy a seat, a child ticket must be purchased.
4. Please consult reservation staff for child and infant fares.
5. Every adult can only carry one child or infant.

According to the regulation of Lao Airlines, Each passenger can carry on board a free hand baggage allowance with a maximum weight of 7kg and the sum of three dimensions shall not exceed 115 cm (30x 60x18 cm) or (12 x 24 x 7 inches). Lao Airlines may deny a carry-on baggage and require the passenger to check-in hand baggage if it exceeds the allowed quantity, weight and dimensions as required above.

In general, Lao Airlines has hand baggage policy as the international standard. If passenger has a connecting flight to other carrier(s), passengers should check with these carriers in advance for more details of their policies and comply with their policies and regulations.

Checked Baggage Allowance for domestic and international Sectors of Lao Airlines will depend on every ticket class:

Passengers of Economy Class can bring 10kg (22lb) baggage allowance for infant and 20 Kg (44lb) for adult and child. Passengers of Business Class can bring 10kg (22lb) baggage allowance for infant and 30kg (66lb) for adult and child. If passengers is exceeding to Checked Baggage Allowance, they will have to purchase extra.

In addition to your hand baggage allowance, you can also carry personal items without additional charges such as:

- One ladies handbag or one small briefcase which is appropriate to normal traveling dress and is not used as a container for the transportation of articles which would otherwise be regarded as baggage,
- One coat, cape or blanket, one umbrella, one pair of crutches or walking stick (except one with metal-filled sharp pointed end)
- A reasonable amount of reading materials for in-flight reading only
- Infant's food for consumption in flight, Infant's carrying basket or bassinet
- A fully collapsible wheel chair
- A pair of crutches and/or braces or other prosthetic device for the passenger's use.

Passengers of Lao Airlines are allowed to carry Special Baggage and Sports Equipment as follows:

Bicycle is considered as checked baggage or cargo. They must be separately packed in a strong cardboard box. Tyres of the bicycle must be deflated, pedals are removed, and handlebars are turned and fixed lengthways. Maximum weight for the bicycle is 10kg.

Golf bags and club sets have to be carried as checked baggage or cargo. Maximum weight of 1 golf set including a pair of golf shoes is 10kg for per passenger.

Sports equipment is allowed as checked baggage regulation, if weight of sports equipment is exceeding the standard of free baggage allowance, passengers shall be subject to the applicable excess baggage charges as Lao Airlines regulation.
