Yes. You can shorten or no need to put your middle name. It is accepted by airlines. For example, your name is Arno Johannes Wilhelmus van de Hee. You can put as name/given name Arno and last name/family name is Van de Hee. Johannes Wilhelmus is optional.

To Vietnam Airline, you can not change name on the ticket. In this case, you have to cancel the ticket and book a new one.
Otherwise, there is 1-2 letters in mistake, you send us your passport's photo to require airline to support ̣subject to the airline' approvalĐ

You are allowed to pack your check-in baggage as many packages with size and weight in allowance of airline.

Normally, to Vietnam Airlines:
Passenger can bring only one peach blossom tree/ apricot blossom tree as checked baggage but not checked baggage allowance. Peach blossom or apricot blossom trees have to be tightened and covered. Three dimensions do not exceed 150cm x 40cm x 40cm.

Passenger has to pay fee for transporting the checked baggage at the airport before the departure time. For short-haul flights between Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang/Hue, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang/Can Tho/Dalat/Cam Ranh/Quy Nhon/Buon Ma Thuot (and vice versa), Hanoi and Vinh… the transportation fee is 275,000 VND, including VAT. For other long-haul flights such as from Hanoi to Nha Trang/Buon Ma Thuot/Dalat/Phu Quoc… and from Ho Chi Minh City to Haiphong/Vinh/Thanh Hoa…, the fee is 440,000 VND, including VAT.

Vietnam Airlines will carry peach blossom tree/ apricot blossom trees on aircrafts of Boeing 777, Airbus A330, and Airbus A321. Each flight transports 30 bundles of peach blossom/apricot blossom trees.

Depends on airlines, you can request airlines for help. If airlines approve, there will have information in your booking when you check-in . You will be help with: wheel chair, supporter at transit airport,... Or when you reach the transit airport, you can require for the help at information station.

In case, passengers get trouble with health, death, ... with medical clearance, airline will keep your refund for the next ticket/flight

Passengers will get a refund if the class of the ticket is allowed. The refund is the last amount after pay airline cancelling fee, AloTrip cancelling fee. The refund will higher if passenger do it before departing time 24 hours.
2. Can not get a refund:
If you can not get a refund because of airline allowance, airlines will keep your refund for your next ticket

I am trying to book flight online through alotrip.com. It asks for family name and given name which are mandatory fields to fill. In my passport I do not have any family name . My given name is 'RAJAT'. What should I put in family name while booking on website? Please assist


You can fill both family name and given name with "RAJAT".
Or you can fill family name with your gender (Mr/Mrs) and give name with "RAJAT"
