Who should I contact if I have lost something in an airport, in a lounge, or on board a British Airways flight?
Mishandled baggage
In many airports, lost baggage is delivered to airport handling agents — they may charge an administrative or storage fee for reclaimed items, as well as postal charges for returning items. If your property has been found they'll explain any charges.
London Heathrow
For items lost in British Airways lounges, on board an arriving aircraft or in the terminals, visit the Bagport lost property site. Please note that it can take between 24 and 48 hours for a found item to be registered on their site, and once retrieved Bagport keep everything for three months.
London Gatwick
For property left in the BA lounge, on a flight arriving into the airport or in the terminal building, contact: +44 (0) 1293 666362. This service is available between 06:00 - 22:00.

What is compensation of BA in case of death or injury?
Mishandled baggage
There are no financial limits to the liability for passenger injury or death. For damages up to 113,100 SDRs (approximately £109,500 or EUR 123,000) the air carrier cannot contest claims for compensation. Above that amount, the air carrier can defend itself against a claim by proving that it was not negligent or otherwise at fault.
