+ Can I take party poppers in my hand or checked baggage?

Passengers are not allowed to carry party poppers in either checked or cabin baggage on any British Airways flights.
+ Can Chinese lanterns or sparklers (indoor or outdoor ones) bring in my carry-on or checked baggage?

According to British Airways baggage regulations, any types of sparklers, or lanterns with pieces that are flammable/can be lit (known as Chinese lanterns), are not allowed in both your checked and hand baggage.
+ How can I pack bicycle to carry on British flights?

Passengers can bring bicycles in British as one piece of your ticket checked baggage allowance. Bicycles exceeding your free allowance will be charged the applicable excess weight fee.

The airline will accept non-motorized bicycles up to 190cm (75in) in length, provided they are packed in a recognized bicycle bag.
Please ensure that you:
- Pack the bike in a protective case or bag
- Remove the pedals or fix them inwards
- Fix the handlebars sideways
- Deflate the tyres to reduce the risk of damage
+ Do British Airways accept to transport cremated remains or a full urn?

Special baggage

Yes. Cremated remains can be brought on board as cabin baggage or cargo or checked baggage. However, passengers need to carry a Certificate of Death (or other country-specific equivalent) issued by a competent authority from the country of departure. You'll also need to ensure that the cremated remains are packed in a sealed outer box or case.
+ Which items of diving equipment are allowed on flights of BA Airways?

We will accept the diving equipment listed below provided it is packed in a recognized kit bag and does not exceed the maximum dimensions and weight restrictions for checked baggage. Bags weighing more than 23kg (51lb) may incur a heavy bag charge.

Accepted diving equipment: scuba regulator, tank harness, tank pressure gauge (pressure-sensitive devices may need special packaging; refer to the manufacturer for advice), face mask, fins, buoyancy control device, snorkel, weight belt, cylinder tank (must be empty and showed at check-in for inspection), spear guns and harpoons (must be unloaded with the spear/harpoon packed separately). Diving lamps require prior approval. If approved for carriage, the bulb or fuse must be removed and packed separately from the power source.
+ Does British Airlines accept to carry skis?

BA Airways may transport ski and snowboard equipment up to 190cm (75in) in length provided it is packed correctly.
Please ensure that you:
- pack your skis and snowboards in a recognized ski or snowboard bag
- pack your ski poles with your skis
- pack your boots separately from your skis or snowboard - either within your free allowance or in another bag (any bags over your free allowance are subject to additional charges)
+ Can I bring surfboards on aircrafts of BA Airways?

We will accept surfboards as checked baggage providing they do not exceed the maximum weight restrictions for checked baggage and are packed in a recognized bag or case to safeguard against damage.

The bag containing the board can be up to a maximum size of 190cm x 75cm x 65cm (75in x 29.5in x 25.5in).

Bags exceeding 23kg (51lb) may be subject to a heavy baggage charge.

Rackets and sticks are not permitted in hand baggage but can be packed within your checked baggage. Any racket or stick carried separately counts as one item of baggage.
+ How can musical instruments be transported on flights of British Airline?

Musical instruments can be carried on board as part of (but not in addition to) your free hand baggage allowance providing they fit within the maximum bag dimensions. Where possible, we'll also try and accommodate instruments that are slightly larger. If your musical instrument is too large to be carried in the cabin, it can be checked in. This will be part of your checked baggage allowance so excess baggage charges may apply.
+ Does BA Airways accept to transport large musical instruments?

Larger instruments can be transported as free checked baggage allowance or an additional purchased allowance if required. We'll even transport instruments larger and heavier than the standard checked baggage limits, up to 45kg (99lb) and 190cm x 75cm x 65cm (75in x 29.5in x 25.5in), providing passengers notify us at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure flight. Instruments exceeding 23kg may be applied a heavy bag charge.

Passengers can book an extra seat for their instrument, depending on availability. A double bass cannot be accepted in any cabin. However it can be transported as part of checked baggage allowance and excess baggage fees may apply.
