A piece of checked baggage can be up to 90cm x 75cm x 43cm (35.5in x 29.5in x 16in) – including any bits that stick out, like the handle, pockets and wheels.

If your journey is conducted by another airline, the checked baggage allowance of this airline will apply. If your journey has connecting flights with more than one airline, the policy of checked baggage is applied to the longer leg. For instance, on journey with American Airlines from New York to London and connect onto British Airways to Amsterdam, the segment with American Airlines is longer so their baggage policy will apply to the entire journey.

Yes. Passengers can bring more bags than the baggage allowance of BA on flights, and passengers will have to pay additional fee. In this case, passengers can get the best rate if they pay the fee online.

In terms of weight:
- Overweight baggage between 23 and 32kg (51–70lb) from the US: 60USD
- Overweight baggage between 23 and 32kg (51–70lb) from all other locations: £40 or local equivalent at check-in
- Any bag over 32kg (70lb) will require separate shipping as cargo.
In terms of size:
Any single bag having sizes exceeding 75in x 29.5in x 25.5in (190cm x 75cm x 65cm), including the handle, pockets and wheels will be shipped separately as freight or cargo.

Yes. Passengers including OpenSkies and CityFlyer can bring up to a maximum of 10 bags of checked baggage per person (not including infants). It means that if a passenger is free of 01 checked bag, he will pay fee for taking up to 09 additional bags.
