Can I change American Airlines reservation outside of AA official site?

Customers can change a reservation, if tickets are issued by American Airlines, AA agents, or online sources, and meeting the following conditions:
- Flights entirely between the U.S., Puerto Rico and/or the U.S. Virgin Islands
- Flights entirely on American Airlines or American Eagle flights and/or one of our American Airlines-marketed codeshare partners itinerary
- American Airlines e-ticket purchased with one credit card
- Customers are not ticketed on an AAdvantage award or a promotional-code fare
- All flights are confirmed
- There are less than six passengers in a reservation, and you are not part of a group booking
- There are at least 03 hours before next scheduled flight
- Flights entirely between the U.S., Puerto Rico and/or the U.S. Virgin Islands
- Flights entirely on American Airlines or American Eagle flights and/or one of our American Airlines-marketed codeshare partners itinerary
- American Airlines e-ticket purchased with one credit card

What can I make American Airlines changes after buying tickets?

Once customers book flights online, theycan:
- Change the reservation name
- Cancel the entire reservation

Can I change itinerary after purchasing the extended hold or during the extended hold period of AA Airlines?

No. Customers cannot change itinerary when it is used as an extended hold feature. If customers have a change in plans, they can cancel their existing hold and select new flights. Customers can purchase the extended hold product again for a new itinerary (if available).

I don’t know about American standby policy, what is it?

American’s standby policy helps customers can be added in standby list free on the day of travel. These customers can be AAdvantage Executive Platinum, AAdvantage Platinum and AAdvantage Gold, as well as oneworld alliance Emerald, Sapphire or Ruby members. They are also who buy First and Business ticket class, and unrestricted Economy ticket class (Y class). Otherwise, they are active US Military personnel taking flights to travel on orders or personal travel, along with active US Military dependents on orders.
All customers have an option to secure a seat on an earlier or later same-day flight, if changes are made for that flight. If there are no same-day flight change available, customers can choose to standby for an earlier flight. Same-day standby applied to AA or American Eagle flights within/between the US, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Caribbean or Canada

What to do if AA same-day flight change is not available for non-premium passengers?

If customers are not premium passengers, they can buy same-day standby for eligible flights up to 24 hours before original flight on the official site of American Airlines. Unlike Same-Day Flight Change, Same-Day Standby cannot ensure to guarantee a seat on a flight. Customers may remain on the original flight or pay fare difference or any charge for wanted earlier/later flight.

Do I have to pay extra charge if American Airways has schedule change?

No. The additional charge applies to voluntary changes and will not be applied when a schedule change or cancellation has occurred.

Does itinerary change charge replace the American Airlines ticket change charge?

No. To change and confirm itinerary, customers have to pay the applicable change charge and any fare difference, plus the additional charge for changing a reservation created by a third party.

What is American Airlines refund policy for the combined routes?

Can I be required to pay fee for AA Same-Day Flight Change/Standby if flight is cancelled, and I have to get on a different flight?

No. In this case, if customers accidentally placed on a different flight from the original flight, customers do not have to pay additional charge. Customers should contact the book agent of AA for more information.

I want to cancel my flight in the first 24 hours, will I be charged an extended hold fee of American Airways?

The extended hold fees will be calculated when the expiration of the free 24-hour period. If customers purchase/cancel their flight during that period, they will not be charged for the extended hold fees.
