Air France will carry Surfboards, kite surf boards, bodysurf boards, waterskis, windsurf boards and longboards as checked baggage allowance at no charge, if they do not exceed 107 cm / 42 in and passengers have to pay additional fee (at the airport).
In case, the item is from 107 to 300 cm / 42 to 118 in in length and under 23 kg / 50 lb in weight, passengers have to get a prior approval from Air France customer service department. Passengers must submit request at least 48 hours before flight’s departure. Transport of this equipment is not included in your ticket price. At the airport, you must pay an extra fee* that varies based on your trip.

Air France regards diving equipment (including a wet suit, vest, mask, shoes, fins, knife and pressure regulator) as checked baggage, and passengers do not have to pay extra fee (except for Mini and Basic tickets). Air France will transport ski equipment as a standard checked baggage item at no extra charge (except for Mini and Basic price tickets). If passengers want to transport more baggage items or if you exceed the baggage allowance permitted for their ticket, they can purchase additional baggage online or pay a fee for this option at the airport.A ski equipment may include alpine and cross-country skis: 1 pair of skis + 1 pair of poles + 1 pair of boots, snowboard: 1 board + 1 pair of boots.

According to the regulation on Air France baggage, the transportation of a work of art, a painting, a sculpture, etc. is possible in the Economy cabin by purchasing an extra seat.
