Passengers can get their name tags for baggage at airport check-in counters. On the tags, passengers have to clearly indicate their name, telephone number, address of home and destination.

Two or more people can share baggage allowance with each other at no charge, if they travel together and check in at the same time. Each piece of their baggage must weigh less than 23kg/50lb or 32kg/70lb, depending on their ticket class.

When traveling on active duty, passengers as members of the US military and their family can bring:
- 04 pieces of baggage weighing up to 32kg / 70lb each in the Economy cabin,
- 05 pieces of baggage weighing up to 32kg / 70lb each in the Business cabin.

The baggage regulation also applies to family members traveling alone for service-related reasons.

When traveling off duty and for personal reasons, passengers as members of the US military can bring:
- 02 pieces of baggage weighing up to 23 kg / 50 lb each in the Economy cabin,
- 03 pieces of baggage weighing up to 23 kg / 50 lb each in the Business cabin.

Yet, the baggage regulation is not applied to family members if traveling for personal reasons.

Normally, Air France does not accept to transport fragile items as checked baggage, for fear of damage during the time of transportation. Thus, if is strongly recommended that passengers should buy seat in passenger cabin to place the item.

In terms of hand baggage, each passenger is allowed to bring a piece of baggage weighing from 12-18kg, depending on ticket class and destination, and having three dimensions of 55 cm in height, 35 cm in length, and 25 cm in width (21 x 13 x 9 in).

To travel more comfortably, keep only the items necessary for flight in your cabin baggage. These items are important and maybe fragile ones:

- important items: keys, mobile telephones (turned off), IDs, important papers, money, valuables, jewelry, etc.
- fragile items: cameras, electronics (turned off), artwork, ceramics, etc.
However, passengers are banned to bring dangerous items and liquids in the cabin.

Yes. Passengers can bring an urn into Air France aircraft as hand baggage or checked baggage. If transporting as a hand baggage, the item must:

- not exceed three dimensions of 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm
- be sealed and packed in a container that does not permit other passengers to discern its contents

Also, passengers must have a certificate from the crematorium. Please contact the airline for more information.

Depending on the regulation of the destination country, passengers can bring food and plants or not. For example, bringing meat originating from wild animals is strictly banned in the European Union.
