How many miles can I buy from Vietnam Airlines GLP during a year?

In Vietnam Airlines GLP, member can buy 30,000 miles at most in a calendar year without limitation of buying time. Miles are purchased in package, each pack is 1,000 miles with 0.025 USD/mile including tax and fee. Miles sold cannot be reimbursed. They are used to get awards and not used as qualifying miles.

How can I present miles of VNA Golden Lotus for other passenger?

GLP member can only present miles for other GLP member who has a right to receive when he needs miles to get awards. The minimum value in each transfer is 1,000 miles per calendar year, the maximum one is 30,000 miles per calendar year. The transfer fee is 0.01 USD/mile and 20 USD/transfer (including tax and fee). GLP member needs to present member card, passport or identity card of transferor and recipient.

Shall VN Airlines accept transferred miles to be reimbursed?

No. According to VN Airlines regulations, transferred miles will not be reimbursed. These miles are used to get awards from VNA and they are not qualifying miles.

To receive Vietnam Airlines redeem miles, GLP member has to present member card, identity card or passport of transferor and receiver.

In GLP Vietnam Airlines, what is the difference between earn miles and qualifying miles?
Program
Qualifying miles are miles that GLP member earn in eligible flights of Vietnam Airlines or SkyTeam during a year. But, these qualifying miles do not include redeem miles and promotion miles. Earn miles include qualifying miles and redeem miles (if any). Earn miles have the validity of 03 years.

Why VN Airline GLP member with 45,000 miles cannot upgrade to Gold card?

GLP member has 45,000 miles but cannot upgrade to Gold card because maybe in 45,000 miles the member does not have enough 30,000 qualifying miles in a qualifying year. 45,000 miles are earn miles of member.

What should I do if I lose Vietnam Airline GLP member card?
Program
If member of Golden Lotus Plus VNA loses member card, member should contact Golden Lotus Plus Center to ask for reissuing card with the fee of 2,000 miles. In case, member changes registered address and does not receive card, Golden Lotus Plus Center will reissue the card.

Why Platinum member on route Hanoi - Taipei - San Francisco is allowed to bring an extra baggage on Hanoi - Taipei flight of VNA?

According to regulation of Golden Lotus Plus Program, GLP member of Gold/Platinum class has a right to bring an extra baggage on VN Airlines flight. Currently, the airline has not had a direct flight to Americas, the flight Taipei – San Francisco is exploited by China Airlines. Therefore, GLP member is not allowed to bring an extra baggage on flight of China Airlines.

Shall GLP member earn miles if forgetting to present member card at VN Airlines check-in counter?

No. GLP member of Vietnam Airline can earn miles after the flight if the member present member card when making reservation and at the check-in counter.
In case, the member’s account lacks miles for implemented flights, he has a right to claim miles in the period of 12 months on flights of the carrier, and 6-12 months depending on regulations of each airlines in SkyTeam Alliance.

How to claim miles of Vietnam Airlines GLP?

To claim miles, GLP member needs to send copy of ticket and original boarding pass Golden Lotus Plus Center or Vietnam Airlines agents (claim miles in every flight), or copy of bills of using non-aviation services and products of partners of Golden Lotus Plus.
