What is the latest time for Vietnam Airlines Golden Lotus Plus member to order excess baggage allowance awards?

The redemption of Excess baggage allowance awards must be ordered 3 days prior to the scheduled departure time. After receiving order of GLP member for excess baggage allowance awards, Golden Lotus Plus center will reward member and resend excess baggage allowance awards to member via email. GLP member will receive excess baggage allowance awards at the nearest VNA agents.

Gold/Titan or Elite member of VN Airlines and SkyTeam will receive free 10kg of excess baggage allowance, select favorite seat in international flight from 6 hours and above, be prioritized on waiting-list, in international flight check-in, on waiting list at the airport and on boarding.

Program
Platinum or Elite Plus member of GLP will gain following benefits from VNA and SkyTeam.:
- Guaranteed full fare Economy class booking on long haul international flights (> 06 flying hours) that are sold out in Economy class at least 24 hours before departure
- Priority baggage SkyPriority tags
- Priority lounge access
- Priority service at airport ticket office
- Priority service at transfer desks
- Priority lines at security
- Preferred seating on flight as required on long-haul international flights of 6hours or more

Can Vietnam Airlines GLP member be prioritized from other airlines, except for VNA and SkyTeam?
Program
Yes. GLP member can receive incentives in flights of the following airlines: Cambodia Angkor Air (K6), Cathay Pacific (CX), Philippines Airlines (PR), Japan Airlines (JL), Etihad Airways – EY, EL AL Israel Airlines – LY, and the carrier noted in ticket is VN.

Shall frequent passengers of VNA earn miles without having member card?
Program
No. According to regulations of GLP Vietnam Airlines, members will be added miles when being members off Golden Lotus Plus program.
In flights of VNA and members of SkyTeam, GLP members will earn miles when conducting flights of the airlines, and the passenger class has enough conditions to add miles.
Discounted tickets, promotion tickets, and under-2 infant tickets, award tickets, and discounted tickets for airlines’ crew and agents cannot be used to add miles in members’ account.
In flights of VNA and members of SkyTeam, GLP members will earn miles when conducting flights of the airlines, and the passenger class has enough conditions to add miles.
Discounted tickets, promotion tickets, and under-2 infant tickets, award tickets, and discounted tickets for airlines’ crew and agents cannot be used to add miles in members’ account.

When will Vietnam Airline add miles in my member account?
Program
Miles will be automatically added in member’s account after 5 days at most for VNA flights, and 7 days at most for flights of SkyTeam alliance; otherwise, it takes about 6-8 weeks after member use services of non-aviation of GLP. Announcement about monthly member account will be sent via email, or member can access the website of VNA for more information.

How will miles be accumulated after domestic flights of VNA?

In regular domestic flights (except for charter flights), GLP member of VN Airline will earn miles as the following accrual rates:
- Business class with J, C eligible booking classes: 2.00
- Business class with D eligible booking classes: 1.50
- Economy class with Y, M eligible booking classes: 1.10
- Economy class with K, L, B, S, H eligible booking classes: 0.75
- Economy class with Q, N, R eligible booking classes: 0.50
- Business class with J, C eligible booking classes: 2.00
- Business class with D eligible booking classes: 1.50
- Economy class with Y, M eligible booking classes: 1.10
- Economy class with K, L, B, S, H eligible booking classes: 0.75
- Economy class with Q, N, R eligible booking classes: 0.50

In international flights of VNA, except for charter flight and some international flights that the airline cooperates with other carriers out of SkyTeam, GLP members will earn miles as the following accrual rates:

- Business class with D eligible booking classes: 1.50
- Deluxe Economy class W, Z eligible booking classes: 1.25
- Economy class Y, M eligible booking classes: 1.10
- Economy class B, S, H eligible booking classes: 1.00

- Economy class N, R, T, P eligible booking classes: 0.25
- Business class with J, C eligible booking classes: 2.00

Titanium member with 25,000 qualifying miles can buy miles from other member in GLP of VNA?
Program
No. Qualifying miles only can be earned form eligible flights of member. Qualifying miles are not bought or presented between members of Vietnam Airlines GLP.

How many members are there in SkyTeam? What are its priorities when being VN Airlines GLP member?

Currently, SkyTeam consists of 20 airlines: Aeroflot, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aeroméxico, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines, Saudia, TAROM, Vietnam Airlines, and Xiamen Airlines. In flights of SkyTeam, members will be prioritized with different services such as priority for booking, waiting room, waiting list, etc. It depends on each airlines.
