You should provide all detailed and exact description about the lost items. The mission of gathering all information about the lost item should be done before filling in the form to submit to Delta. In addition, you should provide information about the flight in which item lost (date of departure, number of flight). You should file the report within 07 days, if later, the chance to find the lost item/baggage may be decreased.

Yes. You can provide more information about the lost item during 02 week after filing. You have to access the page of Lost Item Update by providing Lost Item Report number of the last name included on the report.

- For instruments weighing less than 7kg, with maximum size of 85 x 36 x 23cm, you can carry them on the passenger compartment and put them in the cargo compartment above. All the instruments' weight is included in the hand baggage allowance.
- For larger instruments, you can buy seat for them or put them in the checked baggage. If it weighs more than 15kg, it must be put in the checked baggage and fee for excess baggage will be applied.

Classes of Delta One, First, and Business in routes within Brazil are allowed to bring 03 free pieces of checked baggage (not weigh over 32kg (70lbs)/piece), and the total sizes does not exceed 157cm (62inches)/piece. These classes will be allowed to bring 02 free pieces of checked baggage (not weigh over 32kg (70lbs)/piece), and the sum of total sizes does not exceed 157cm (62inches)/piece in the following route:

- Within United States and Canada;
- Between United States/Canada and Central America/ Caribbean/ Bermuda/ Mexico/ Dominican Republic/ Guyana/ Haiti;
- Within Mexico, Central America and Caribbean;
- Between United States/Canada/Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean and South America (excluding Brazil and Guyana);
- Between United States/Canada/Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean/ South America (excluding Brazil) and Europe/ North Africa/Israel;
- Between United States/Canada/Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean/ South America (excluding Brazil) and China/ Japan/ Guam/ Hong Kong/ Palau/ Saipan/ Singapore/ South Korea/ Taiwan/ Thailand;
- Between United States/Canada/Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean/ South America (excluding Brazil) and Australia/ New Zealand/ Philippines;
- Between Japan and Guam/ Saipan/ Palau;
- Between United States/Canada/Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean/ South America (excluding Brazil) and South Africa;
- Between United States/Canada/Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean/ South America (excluding Brazil) and the Middle East (excluding Israel);

- Between Europe and India;
- Other international flights: passengers are allowed to bring 02 free pieces of checked baggage meeting the standard of the Delta’s baggage regulation in routes not listed above. Each piece of baggage does not exceed 70lbs (32kg) in weight, and 62inches (157cm) in total three dimensions.

Passengers in Main Cabin will be allowed to bring two pieces of checked baggage with/without fee depending on each route. To specify:
- Within United States and Canada: 25 USD/CAD for the first checked baggage, 35 USD/CAD for the second one;
- Between United States/Canada andCentral America/ Caribbean/ Bermuda/ Mexico/ Dominican Republic/ Guyana/ Haiti: 25 USD/CAD for the first checked baggage, 40 USD/CAD for the second one;

- Between United States/Canada / Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean/ South America (excluding Brazil) and Europe/ North Africa/ Israel: free the first checked baggage, 100 USD/ 120 CAD/ 85 EUR for the second one;
- Between United States/Canada / Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean/ South America (excluding Brazil) and China/ Japan/ Guam/ Hong Kong/ Palau/ Saipan/ Singapore/ South Korea/ Taiwan/ Thailand: free 02 pieces of checked baggage;
- Between United States/Canada / Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean/ South America (excluding Brazil) and Australia/ New Zealand/ Philippines: free 02 pieces of checked baggage;

- Between United States/Canada / Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean/ South America (excluding Brazil) and the Middle East (excluding Israel): free 01 first piece, 75 USD/CAD for the second one;
- Between United States/Canada / Mexico/ Central America/ Caribbean/ South America (excluding Brazil) and India: free the first piece of checked baggage, 75 USD/CAD or70 EUR for the second one;
- Between Europe and India: free the first piece of checked baggage, 75 EUR for the second one;
- Within Brazil: free 02 pieces of checked baggage;
- Other international flights: passengers are allowed to bring 02 pieces of checked baggage free in routes not listed above. These pieces must meet the standard of Delta’s baggage regulation: each piece of checked baggage does not weigh over 50lbs (23kg), and does not have the total three dimensions of over 62inches (157cm).

Diamond and Platinum Medallions of all classes (Delta One, First, Business, Main Cabin) are free pieces of checked baggage. The number of pieces depends on class and air routes. Each piece of baggage has the total three dimensions not over 62inches (157cm), to specify:
- Within United States and Canada: all classes are free 03 pieces of checked baggage, each does not exceed 32kg (70lbs);
- United States/ Canada to/from/within Caribbean/ Mexico/ Central America: free 03 pieces for Delta One, First, Buisess, and 02 pieces for Main Cabin. Each piece for Delta One, First and Business does not exceed 32kg (70lbs), and not over 23kg (50lbs) for Main Cabin;
- To/ from Australia/ New Zealand/ Philippines (via the Pacific only): all classes are free 03 pieces of checked baggage. Each piece for Delta One, First and Business does not exceed 32kg (70lbs), and not over 23kg (50lbs) for Main Cabin;
- Within Brazil: all classes are free 03 pieces of checked baggage, each does not exceed 32kg (70lbs);
- All other international flights: Delta One, First, and Business are allowed to bring 03 pieces of checked baggage, each does not exceed 32kg (70lbs); the Main Cabin class is allowed to bring 01 additional free baggage over standard allowance.

All alcohol or liqour bought after passing the security checked point is allowed to bring onboard in hand baggage or checked baggage, provided that it must obey the following criteria:
- Alcohol content does not exceed 70% (140 proof)
- Each passenger can bring up to 05 liters of alcohol with the content from 24% - 70% (48 – 140 proof)
- Alcohol with the content under 24% (48 proof) is allowed to bring onboard.
- Alcohol and liquor must be in its original unopened retail packaging.
- Alcohol purchased before going through the security checkpoint may be seized, or passenger can be fined, according to the regulation on security of hand baggae and checked baggage.

According to Delta’s regulations, parts of vehicle can be transported as checked baggage or hand baggage, provided that they do not contain gas and oil... Parts of engine will be put in checked baggage if they are still packed in their original box, and do not contain hazardous chemicals such as gasoline or oil. Some cases are not allowed to bring onboard:

- Shock absorbers protected by compressed gas will not be transported as checked baggage. The part of vehicle will not be transported as a checked baggage even not sealed with compressed gas, if they contain a residue of gasoline or oil.
- Car batteries and Vehicle airbags are banned in both hand and checked baggage, according to the regulation of FAA.

If you are not sure about removing all hazmat residue or vapors, you are highly recommended to have the automotive parts transported via shipping service.
In case, the parts are allowed to bring onboard; but during the screening process, it triggers an alarm, it will be screened again, and may not be brought onboard if not having the allowance of the TSA.

You are allowed to bring dry-ice packages of no more than 5.5lbs (2.5kg). These ice packages are used to cool allowed perishables in hand or checked baggage. Yet, there are some restrictions:

- The packages must meet the standard of hand baggage restrictions.
- They can allow the release of carbon dioxide.
- “Dry Ice” or “Carbon Dioxide Solid” must be stated on the package.
- The net weight of the dry ice package must be specified.
- The contents are cooled by dry ice package must be written on the package.

Delta Air Lines recommends that you should use gel packs or similar products to keep frozen perishable items fresh.

Wet ice is not allowed to carry as hand baggage, checked baggage or cargo on Delta or Delta Connection flights.
