Is Delta responsible for my camera in checked baggage in flights?

Yes. However, passengers have to obey the regulations of FAA. A cane must be stowed for take off and landings in an approved storage compartment, or put under passenger seats, as long as the cane doesn't protrude into the aisle or otherwise disturb the crew or other passengers.

Will I be announced about the finding lost baggage process by Delta Airlines?

Yes. Passenger will receive an email from the Delta’s Lost & Found Central when passenger submits the report for the lost item. If the airline finds an item that matches the description of the lost item, passenger will receive an email with instruction to confirm the item. During the searching process, passenger will receive emails.

The finding process may take about 14 days after the airline receives the report for the lost item. If the airline cannot find it, passenger will receive an email informing that lost item cannot be found.

How can I know that my baggage had been found by DELTA?

If Delta Air Line finds the item that matches the description of your lost item, the airline will contact you via email or phone to ensure if the item is yours or not, and then deliver to you.
