Dalat Flower Festival 2015 to be held in December

Dalat Flower Festival 2015 is expected to show many kinds of flowers, along with many interesting programs and activities. The festival will be organized from December 30, 2015 to January 3, 2016 in Dalat City with the theme - Dalat - Colorful flowers.

Lam Dong People's Committee has announced the content and programs in Dalat Flower Festival 2015 with the theme of Dalat - Colorful flowers. Accordingly, Dalat Flower Festival 2015 will take place from December 30, 2015 to January 3, 2016 in Dalat City and neighboring districts with the following programs. flower space, exhibitions, flower exhibition, Dalat flower carnival, flower fair, seminar on flowers, wine street, Lam Dong coffee, calligraphy space, fire-pen pictures, flower photography, and opening ceremony... In the framework of Flower Festival in Dalat, there are other response programs such as flower spaces at residences, Lam Dong travel promotion and trade, and Flower Sunday...

Dalat Flower Festival is a national and international cultural tourist event. The festival is held every two years to promulgate the image of Dalat - a famous resort city in Vietnam and in the world, to honor the flower grower and the value of Dalat flowers to domestic and international friends... Dalat Flower Festival is one of the biggest festivals in Vietnam held in Dalat City, Lam Dong, in Central Highland Vietnam. It is a chance for the city to display local and regional flowers' exhibitions. As being a national event, apart from attracting tourists to come and enjoy, the flower festival is an activity honoring the values of flowers, flower growing, promoting, and appealing investments to promote tourism in Dalat. The main program includes many featured activities.

The flower space will take place from December 30, 2015 - January 3, 2016. Flower space around Xuan Huong Lake is arranged from 10-20 miniatures of flowers towards contests. These miniatures will remain unchanged for a long time to serve tourists and locals. Units taking part in the contest must present the ideas clearly, which will be approved by the organizing committee. The venue of this contest will be held on Le Dai Hanh Street, Ong Dao Bridge, and Palace Hotel area. Tourists also come to visit flower village and flower plantation (building the flower space in accordance with themes in Love Valley, Dreaming Hill, Dalat Cable car, and introduction of flower planting process in Ha Dong Flower Village, Thai Phien Flower Village, and Dalat Hasfarm...). The units undertaking the event are Dalat People's Committee, and Dalat Flower Association in coordination with Lam Dong Ornamental Creatures Association; Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Lam Dong Tourism Association, and Lam Dong Young Businessmen Association.

The next event is Dalat flowers and plants exhibition 2015. The exhibition will be held from December 30, 2015 - January 3, 2016 at Dalat Flower Garden. The content of this exhibition consists of display and exhibit flowers and plants in Dalat with the participation of businesses, artisans, and individuals who have strengths in flower producing and business, and invite some international businesses. The unit conducting the event is Dalat People's Committee in coordination with Dalat Flower Association, Lam Dong Ornamental Creatures Association, and other cities and provinces.

Dalat Flower Carnival will be organized from December 30, 2015 to January 3, 2016 at Lam Vien Square in Dalat City. The parade will take place on December 3 after the opening ceremony. On the rest days, art performances will be held in Lam Vien Square and other spots around Xuan Huong Lake. The parade includes flower carriage, street performance groups, and groups of vegetables and flowers fashion with the participation of students from colleges and universities in Dalat. Some carnival groups will remain their performances in certain time from December 30, 2015 to January 1, 2016 at Lam Vien Square and some points around Xuan Huong Lake. The unit undertaking the event is Dalat Flower Association and Dalat People's Committee in coordination with Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Department of Education and Training, and Lam Dong Youth Union.

The opening ceremony of Dalat Flower Festival 2015 will occur at 20:00 on December 30 at Lam Vien Square in Dalat City. The opening ceremony will last for 20 minutes with outstanding art performances and Dalat Flower Carnival. The units undertaking the event are Dalat People's Committee and Dalat Flower Association in coordination with Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. In addition, there is Dalat Flower Fair held from December 30, 2015 to January 3, 2016 on Nguyen Van Cu Street and Nguen Thi Minh Khai Street. The content of the fair is art gallery of flowers, vegetables, introduce, contract, and purchase vegetables and flowers. Cuisine introduction with dishes made from fresh vegetables in Dalat. The event will be held by Dalat People's Committee in coordination with Dalat Flower Association, and Lam Dong Tourism Association.

Also, there are sscientific flower seminar held during the festival by Department of Agriculture and Rural Development at 14:00 in December 31, 2015, in Saigon Dalat Hotel. The seminar will iintroduce and exchange of all brands of flowers in Dalat with local and international market flower, along with exhibitions of units involved in coordination with Department of Science and Technology, Dalat People's Committee, and Dalat Flower Association. Event of Lam Dong Wine and Coffee Street, from December 30, 2015 - January 3, 2016, will be held at Fountain Park - Lam Vien Square or in Bao Loc City by Lam Dong Tourism, Investment and Trade Promotion Center in coordination with Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Dalat People's Committee, and Bao Loc People's Committee. The event will iintroduce, brand, exchange, purchase wine, tea, and coffee in Dalat - Lam Dong and other provinces and cities nationwide.

Meanwhile, the Calligraphy space, fire-pen paintings and flower photography will be held from December 30, 2015 to January 3, 2016 at Dalat Xuan Huong Park. There will be Calligraphy exhibition, fire-pen paintings and flower photography. The units undertaking the event is Lam Dong Literature and Art Association in coordination with Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Dalat People's Committee, and Department of Industry and Trade. To attract more tourists to the festivals in Dalat, there are response programs held during the events.
