On March 3rd afternoon, Vietnamese Danish Education Seminar was officially open in Hanoi. The seminar is also held in Ho Chi Minh City today (on March 6th morning). The Vietnam Denmark education seminar witnesses the participation of leaders of Vietnam education ministry and headers of universities and colleges of both countries. The event helps two countries to have a mutual understanding about education of two countries and exchange cooperation chances. The main purpose of the working visit is to enhance Vietnam - Denmark education cooperation comprehensively in the time coming.
Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training believe that, the success of the seminar will contribute to promoting and developing Vietnam - Denmark relation in the field of education. The relation not just strengthens the mutual understanding, improves the friendship, but also brings great benefits in the development of economy, commerce, and technology for both sides in the future. Vietnam-Denmark Education Forum is being operated within the framework of a working visit to Vietnam of Denmark Minister of Education, Ms. Christine Antorini and educational missions of Denmark, from March 4 to 6, 2015, at the invitation of the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam, Mr. Pham Vu Luan. The visit aims to strengthen the education cooperation more comprehensively between the two countries.
On March 4 afternoon, at the head quarter of Vietnam government, Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Vu Duc Dam met Mrs. Christine Antorini. At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister was pleased to see a comprehensive Vietnam and Denmark partnership continues to develop well, especially in fields of political-diplomacy, trade and investment cooperation, development, education and training. In the field of education, Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated that both sides focused on strengthening cooperation and signing the memorandum of education cooperation on September 2013. They are important basis for implementing specific cooperative activities. Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the two sides would actively promote the establishment of joint working group on education between Vietnam and Denmark.
Deputy Prime Minister hoped Denmark would continue to provide scholarships for Vietnamese students to study and research in Denmark, promote and create favorable conditions for the educational institutions of the two countries to be enhanced, trained, particularly in the areas of Denmark's strengths such as science and technology, maritime economy, oil and gas, and power renewable... Minister of Denmark Education also proposed for enhancing student exchanges. Denmark is ready to coordinate and exchange experiences on pedagogical methods, materials development and application of modern curriculum in Vietnam. Vietnam Education and Training Ministry hopes Danish government continue to support and expand projects to support find arts education in primary, middle and junior high schools. Danish education experts will continue to coordinate with the Vietnam experts in education programs.
Regarding to a long-term strategy, Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training wishes Danish education experts, especially experts in the development programs of general education, support and coordinate with Vietnamese experts Vietnam in building research and development programs on general education in the phase after 2015 to 2030. Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training hopes educational institutions, Danish partners to have more opportunities to learn about education in Vietnam and to promote cooperation with counterparts in Vietnam. Vietnam and Denmark will continue to specify programs, collaborative educational activities within Minutes of cooperative education and training signed in 2013.
