At the meeting, Vietnamese PM expressed his pleasure to re-visit Australia and thankfulness to Australia about the hospitality and solemn reception to Vietnam delegation. The discussion between Vietnam and Australia succeeded with the pleasure of both sides' representatives. Besides, all-side relation from security and defense to economy, commerce, investment, and education is in good condition and more strategic. On this basis, two prime ministers agreed to enhance comprehensive Vietnam Australia cooperation to new height. Vietnamese Prime Minister proposed Australian Parliament for supporting the determination and efforts of the two governments to promote bilateral relations more in-depth, stability, for the benefit two peoples, peace, stability and development in the region.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the support and assistance of Australian Parliament for Vietnam through programs and projects of ODA in Vietnam which are effective and contributing positively to infrastructural development of society and economy in Vietnam. Vietnamese Prime Minister hoped Australia will continue to support Vietnam in infrastructural development, human resource, agricultural and rural development, and poverty reduction. Australian Congressional leaders appreciated the official visit of Vietnam to Australia, which is seen as a new landmark of the relationship between Vietnam and Australia. Mrs. Bronwyn Bishop said that Australian Parliament was in favor of strengthening relations with Vietnam, especially in improvement of bilateral relations to a new height. Congressional leaders of Australia confirmed to create favorable conditions for Vietnam communities living and working in Australia. Vietnamese community has actually contributed significantly to the development of Australia.
At the same day, PM Nguyen Tan Dung met Australia-Vietnam MP Friendship Group. At the meeting, Vietnam Prime Minister announced the results of talks with Prime Minister Toni Abbott, especially the consensus between two PMs of raising a comprehensive partnership between the two countries. The two sides signed the Declaration on Strengthening Comprehensive Partnership. The signing will provide a framework for further development of cooperation in all aspects of two countries. In Australia also appreciated and thanked for gesture of Vietnam in searching and repatriation of the remains of Australian soldiers in Vietnam wars. Australian member of parliaments highly agreed the opinion of Prime Minister Nguyen that Vietnam with great humanist tradition is always willing to look to the future for peace, development and friendship between peoples.
Vietnam appreciated the support and help of Australian government and people for the innovation and socio-economic development of Vietnam. In particular, Vietnam has always recognized the support and effective cooperation of the Party in the process of construction and development of bilateral ties. The Prime Minister announced, in the official visit, two sides signed the Declaration on strengthening the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Australia and agreed to assign two countries' Ministries of Foreign Affairs to conduct Action Plan in 2015-2017 period to concretize the cooperation connotations. This is a vivid testament to stronger- growing partnership. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his desire that Australia continue supporting Vietnam, encouraging and facilitating conditions for Australian businesses to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam enterprises in potential fields, supporting ODA for Vietnam based on good relations between Vietnam and Labor Party for many years.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Bill Shorten agreed that elevating the strategic Vietnam-Australia partnership is consistent with the good relation between the two countries in various fields, which meets aspirations and interests of the two peoples. In the framework of official activities of Vietnam high-level delegation, in order to promote Vietnam-Australia relation in specific areas, official representatives of Vietnam had met Australian leaders. Also, in the official visit to Australia's Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Vietnam and Australia enterprises have signed cooperation contracts, including 5 contracts in the field of education and training, a contract in the field of manufacturing and exporting container, a contract for the processing of agricultural products and a contract for rolling copper wire.
