Can battery be carried in hand baggage on Vietnam Airlines flight?

No. Battery is regarded Vietnam Airlines baggage restrictions carried in hand baggage. However, in case, battery can be brought in hand baggage if it is used for private devices such as watch, laptop, camera, camcorder, cellphone, and other similar devices. The number of battery is 02 pieces (lithium or lithium ion) with the capacity from 100WH to 160WH. They must be packed firmly to avoid short circuit.

No. Fragile items are baggage restrictions. But, VN Airlines will carry fragile items as checked baggage if its size is not suitable to bring in cabin. And, if the refusal of the carrier may cause difficulty to passenger, the carrier will accept to carry but do not take any responsibility for unpredictable risks during transportation.

Shall perishable items be carried as checked baggage on VN Airlines?

No. Perishable items such as fresh or frozen foodstuff (fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, poultry and bakery products), floral and nursery stock, such as flowers, fruits and vegetable plants, cut flowers and foliage, such as: floral displays are baggage restrictions as checked baggage on VNA flights. However, the airline will carry them if passenger is responsible for any risks during transportation.

No. As perishable items are baggage restrictions on VNA, if the items are accepted to carry as checked baggage, passenger agreed that the carrier would not be responsible for any damage during transportation.

If perishable items are seized at the airport, shall Vietnam Airlines refund excess baggage fee?
Baggage restrictions
No. The passenger should be reminded of the relevant quarantine regulations and that no refund shall be made against excess baggage charges paid in case of confiscation either at the station of origin or destination. Thus, when perishable items are seized at the airport as quarantine regulations, VNA will not refund the fee of excess baggage.
