Yes, you can but with some conditions. When you make a booking and confirm your reservation for EVA Air flights to or from USA one week (168 hours) or prior to the departure time, EVA will allow you to cancel the reservation without penalty; it means you will receive a full refund as long as you cancel the reservation within 24 hours of purchase.

EVA Air Confirmation or Record Locator Number is an individual identification code for your record in EVA Air reservation system. This code consists of six alphanumeric characters. The record will contain your name, travel itinerary, telephone number, ticket validity, and ticket number (after purchasing your ticket). When you successfully book a ticket on EVA Air flights, you will be provided a code number, which will be used to reconfirm your flight and for any future contact with EVA Air regarding your reservations and itinerary for the trip.

Generally, if an EVA Air ticket has not been used yet, the validity of the ticket is one year from the issue date. In case the ticket is used, the validity governed with the connecting fare rules will be applied and counted from the date of commencement of travel. If the ticket is issued with special restrictions, such restrictions will then be applied.

Yes, you can. You can get a refund for an EVA Air expired ticket if you make a refund request no later than one year after the expiry of the ticket.

Normally, the time taken to process a refund depends on the original payment method. Tickets paid by cash will be refunded less than 90 days, meanwhile, those paid by credit card may take 135 days. It takes a long time to process a refund for a lost ticket because EVA Air wants to make sure that the lost ticket was never used, refunded, or reissued as a replacement ticket. This investigation takes a substantial period of time.

No, you cannot. An EVA Air award or reduced-fare ticket cannot be upgraded to the next higher class of cabin service by either using Electronic Miles/ Upgrade Certificate or paying the fare difference.

According to EVA Air regulations, children who have yet to reach their second birthday must purchase infant fare ticket. Those who are older than two years old but have yet to reach their 12th birthday must purchase a child fare ticket.

According to CCA regulations, a plane shall feature with a seat for each person who is over two years old. In accordance with this regulation, since November 2014, any infant who reach their second birthday will occupy their own seat while travelling on EVA Air flights. The applicable child’s fare must be paid for all sectors flown after the child reaches his/ her second birthday.
