For the safety of flight and security, Vietjet Air can require passengers and baggage to be checked by the airline’s security staff at securtity gate, X-ray screening or other forms of screening. The airline has a right to search passengers’ baggage with the absence of passengers in order to check whether passengers’ baggage include prohibited items or not.

If passenger rejects to have baggage searched and checked, the airline has a right to not carry the passenger and his baggage, and does not reimburse fare and have responsibility to passenger. In case, the search causes passenger’s hurt, the airline is not responsible for it, if it is not the fault of the airline.

Passenger (except for infant) is allowed to bring 01 piece of hand baggage on board. The Vietjet Air baggage carried on cabin does not measure over the sizes of three dimensions 56cm x 36cm x 23 cm, and the weight does not exceed 7kg per piece (applied to all ticket classes).

Each passenger is allowed to bring no more than 01 liter of liquid on body and hand luggage on board, except for liquids, gel and other sprayers including medicine, infant food, diet food for patient or liquids bought at duty free shops at the airport or on board.

All liquid forms must be kept in bottle, glass bottle or jar with the capacity of less than 100ml, and closed completely. All bottles, glass bottles or jars must be put in a transparent plastic bag. Each passenger is allowed to bring only 01 plastic bag. Passenger may be asked to left all liquid if does not meet the above demends.

In some cases, VietJet agrees to transport ash, skeleton and remains as checked baggage or hand baggage when it meets carriage regulation. For example, the special items must be put in cremated box, firmly wrapped and must be accompanied by a death certificate and medical quarantine.

Fresh seafood and frozen one or meat, can be transported as hand luggage, if the airline agrees that these items have been packaged properly. Only porous barrels and/or cooling containers occupying dry/non-damaged food may be transported, after the authorities check the insides. If passenger refuses the check, the airline may refuse to transport.

Accoring to regulations on Vietjet Air hand luggage, each airfare comprises 7kg of hand baggage, thus, each passenger can bring only 7kg of hand baggage. And, passengers can not pool separate luggage into the overall condition of weight for one passenger.

If pooling three pieces of baggage into a valise of 20 kg, the airline still calculates it as a piece of baggage, but when passenger check in at the airport, passenger has to pay more for excess baggage, or pay for checked baggage fee at the airport with higher fee compared with the rate when passenger buys ticket.

If passenger’s hand baggage exceeds the regulation of VietJet, or violates the regulations on security and aviation safe, the baggage must be transported as checked baggage or may be rejected to carry. In case, the baggage is transported as checked baggage, it will be calculated as checked baggage incurred at the airport.

Yes. If passenger wants to bring medicine on board, the medicine must be accompanied by prescription in which names and addresses of the prescription or doctor, and of the passenger are written clearly. Milk and infant food must be accompanied by infant who uses it on board.

Yes. Passenger can bring liquid bought at duty free shops at the airport on Vietjet plane if the liquid is put in specialized bag of shops with seals as regulation of the airline. In side the bag, there is bill/invoice of the shop (including place and date of the purchase). The information must be easy to read without opening the bag.
