In this case, passengers have to pay 20USD per kg of excess baggage on flights from India to Europe.

Yes. On flights from India to Kuala Lumpur, passengers have to pay 27USD for every additional 5kg in case of overweight, and 27USD for additional piece.

On domestic flights, passenger traveling with fire arm, air gun and or ammunition (up to 50 rounds) has to pay for 5,000 INR towards extra services provided during the transportation of the special baggage. On international flights, passenger will be charged 100USD for extra service during the transportation of fire arm(s), air gun(s) or ammunition in their registered baggage.

If you are personnel, you will be exempted from paying baggage charge, provided that you should meet the following conditions:

- Sportsmen traveling to domestic or international destinations to join competitions or represent the country can bring firearms, air gun(s) and/ or ammunition if sportsmen have government recognized identification document(s), valid license or authorization of fire arms and ammunition, bonafide for carriage of arms and ammunition on the basis of a written document issued by the President or Secretary of the sports club sponsoring him or her for the shooting event.

On international flight, charges will be calculated when the weight of pet and container is seen as excess baggage. The excess baggage amount will be charged. If the special baggage exceeds in piece concept, the container and pet in it is seen as additional piece of baggage. Charge of excess baggage for additional baggage is twice the standard excess baggage applied to each piece. If the piece of baggage is overweight or oversized, additional excess baggage charges will apply.

For domestic flights, passengers traveling with pet have to pay for 5,000INR per container. The service is not applied for disable passengers.

Passengers should remember that on domestic flights, live animals are not transported on flights operated by ATR aircraft.

On international flights to UK, pets are not transported as baggage, they must be carried as cargo. Passengers need to submit health and vaccination certificates.

All passengers traveling checked baggage or items exceeding the dimensions of 158cm will have to pay a flat fee of 1000 INR at the airport. The charge will be calculated in addition to the existing excess baggage fee wherever applicable. This fee is applicable to all passengers travelling within India.

No. Passengers can take liquid items bought at security check in the departure lounge. These items are put in a special sealed and transparent bag. Passenger must not open the bag until he reaches his final destination. Passenger has to keep the proof till the journey ends. He may be required to showcase it at all transfer points.

In case of baggage mishandled, passengers should contact the representatives of the airline at the airport immediately. These representatives will support passengers as much as they can. After informing Jet Airways about the problem, passenger with a tracking number can use Jet Airways’ Baggage Tracer to update the status of his baggage. Upon the arrival of baggage, Jet Airways will deliver to passenger’s local address.
