If passengers want to transport sport equipment on aircrafts of 9W, they should pack these items suitably as regulated by the airline:

- Bicycles are non-motorized touring or racing bicycles. Parts of bicycle must be disassemble and packed neatly
- Fishing equipment only includes 2 rods, 1 real, 1 landing net, 1 pair of waders and tackle box
- A golf kit consists of 1 golf bag with no more than 14 golf clubs, 12 golf balls, and 1 pair of golf shoes
- Paragliding equipment: non-motorized paragliding equipment. Motorized paragliding equipment and hang-gliding equipment are not allowed to transported as baggage
- Snow board: passenger can bring 1 snowboard and 1 pair of boots
- Surfboard must be surfboard of fibre glass
- Water ski: 1 pair of standard water skis or 1 slalom water ski

In this case, passenger is allowed to bring 1 empty scuba tank, 1 scuba regulator, 1 tank harness, 1 tank pressure gauge, 1 mask, 2 fins, 1 snorkel, 1 knife, 1 spear gun, and 1 safety vest.

Each passenger is free 15kg of special baggage. No excess baggage charge will apply. For example, passenger carry 01 bag of golf, in which 1 bag weighing 5kg, and 1 golf kit (exceeding 158cm) weighing 10kg. If passenger brings a bag of 10kg and a golf kit of 10kg, he will be charge excess baggage fee for the additional 5kg.

Passenger can carry musical instruments, electronic equipment, painting and diplomatic mail in passenger cabin by booking an extra seat beside the passenger. The special baggage must not exceed 75kg and must not harm the seat or extension belt. Passengers traveling with the special baggage are not allowed to check in via telephone, check in online, or use mobile check-in. Passengers as JetPrivilege members can earn only for one seat as per class, not extra seat.

Items of weapons and ammunitions can be carried on aircrafts of 9W when they are authorized by the government of India. In addition, there are some items misused as weapons or resemble weapons are banned from bringing on passenger cabin. However, there are some items of weapons can be carried in checked baggage:
- Knives
- Box cutter
- Swords
- Spears
- Martial arts weapons
- Licensed firearms

Passengers have to choose to fly with aircrafts permitting to carry “Kirpan” in person. The dimensions of the “Kirpan” must not exceed a total maximum length of 9 inches (22.86cm). The transportation of “Kirpan” will not be allowed in the passenger cabin on international flights, it is only transported in checked baggage.

Pet animals can be transported by Jet Airways as baggage or shipped cargo. Some pets as dogs, cats, household birds, rabbits, canaries are permitted to bring in aircraft holds. Live animals must be transported in escape proof containers which has suitable size with ample ventilation. The containers are not made of chewable material.

Yes. Passengers can bring dry ice in hand or checked baggage with limited quantities. If passengers carry dry ice as hand baggage, they do not bring more than 2.5kg of dry ice which is used to cool perishable products.

In case, passengers bring dry ice in checked baggage on domestic flights, each passenger can bring up to 2.5kg with a maximum of 20kg per compartment. The maximum is 80kg on B737 aircraft. On aircrafts of ATR, each passenger can bring up to 2.5kg with a maximum of 20kg/ compartment. The maximum is 40kg.

In case, passengers travel on international flights, each passenger can bring up to 2.5kg with a maximum of 20kg per compartment. The maximum is 80kg on B737 aircraft. On aircrafts of A330, each passenger can bring up to 2.5kg with a maximum of 20kg/ compartment. The maximum limit for bulk hold is 50kg.

Baggage as human remains and cremated remains are allowed on 9W flights. Cremated remains can be brought on board as cabin baggage or cargo. Passengers have to present a certificate of death and cremation of the deceased issued by competent authority from the country of departure. Cremated remains have to be packed carefully in sealed outer box or case. Remember that cremated remains as hand baggage subject to airport security clearance.

Any baggage piece exceeding more than 158cm in total dimensions is considered oversized baggage. In this case, passenger has to pay a charge of 150USD/piece on international flights (exept for flights from London). The regulation is applicable to overweight baggage also. On flights from London, the oversized baggage fee is 150GBP/piece.
