+ How should I have to prepare kennel for carrying pets on board of AA Airways?

If you have intention to travel with pet, you should prepare kennel as allowed by the airline. The kennel must be large enough for pet to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably.Non-collapsible kennels can be a maximum of 19in x 13in x 9in.

Criteria of kennel (Up to 40in x 27in x 30in or 102cm x 69cm x 76cm):
- Made of wood,metal, plastic, or similar materials
- Have door made of welded or cast metal
- Secured at the top and bottom with bolts or screws
- Have separate food and watering dishes attached securely inside the kennel
- Have a small bag of food for a 24-hour period attached to the top
- Be clean and have absorbent material or litter (no straw, hay or wood shavings)
- Be leak and escape proof with a secure fastened door
+ What about allowance and limitation about checked pets on AA Airlines?

Passengers can travel with more than 01 pet as checked baggage on flights of American Airlines, provided that pets are at least 8 weeks old. The capacity is limited, the airline just accepts pets as checked baggage on a first-come basis. Passengers have to:
- Check in at the ticket counter
- Check pets less than 4 hours before your flight)
- Complete a checklist with an agent
- Provide a health certificate which is issed by a vet within 10 days of your travel; 60 days of your return (travel on the same ticket); and 10 days of your return (travel on a separate ticket).

If passengers travel with 02 of pets in the same kennel, they must be the same species, have a similar size and weigh less than 20lbs each, and between 8 weeks – 6 months old.
+ Can I travel with pets on connecting flights of America Airlines?

Passengers can bring pets on connecting flights with AA as checked baggage through the hubs of Ameican Airlines. If passengers are connecting between American and another carrier, they have to claim and recheck pet and pay applicable charges to each carrier.

Hub cities of AA: Charlotte, Chicago O’Hare, Dallas Fort Worth, John F.Kennedy New York, LaGuardia, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Washington Reagan.
+ What are restrictions of kennel on aircrafts of America Airways?

All kennels allowed on American must be:
- not collapsible
- not made of wicker
- not made of welded or wire mesh
- not snap-top, sofl-sided, cardboard or knock-down
- not have plastic doors
- not have top opening doors
- not have wheels which are retractable, removeable, taped or inoperable
- not be a series 700 kennel
- not more than 100lb/45kg (including pat and other content).

Passengers have to provide a written certification in which has contents that pet has been fed and offered water within 4 hours before delivering them to the aircraft. The certification is attached outside of kennel securely and visibly. And passenger has to sign with the date and time. Also, passenger has to provide feeding and watering instructions for 24-hour period.
+ How much does American Airways cost for transporting pets in kennel?

Special orders

The fee of transporting kennle depends on types of service and regions. If passengers travel on flights of AA, they can pay for the service at the airport or at travel agent by card, credit, and voucher. The airline does not collect fees for other airlines. passengers have to check in with each airline and pay charge when check in.

- For pets as checked baggage, within/between US and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean, the charge is $200 per kennel, and $150 to/from Brazil
- For pets as hand baggage, within/between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central America, Colombia and the Caribbean (based on specific country's entry policy), the charge is $125 per kennel.
- For service animals to all destination, it is not charged.
+ Is there any temperature restrictions to carry pets on airplane of AA?

Special orders

Yes. Passengers have to make sure that pet is not exposed to extreme heat or cold in animal holding areas, at terminal facilities, between terminal and aircraft, and on an airplane awaiting departure. The temperature does not exceed 85 degrees Fahrenheit (29.4 degrees C) at any location on the itinerary, and does not lower than 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7.2 degrees C).
+ What should I do if traveling with children/infants on American Airlines?

If traveling with chidlren/infants, passengers have to present a birth certificate or a proof of age for any passenger as children under 18 years old. In international flights, children/infants must have the same travel document as adult. Children under 18 traveling internationally alone must present a Letter of Consent.
+ What about restriction of transporting children/infants on AA Airlines?

- Children over 02 years old will be charged as adult fare. All children under 05 years old are not allowed to travel alone.
- Infants as young as 02 days old can be transported by AA.
- If traveling with an infant less than 07 days old, passenger has to fill out medical form before departure.
- Infants must travel with a person above 16 years old or the infant's parent (any age) in the same cabin.
- Seat of infant can be held by an adult without charge, or seat reserved (buy a ticket).
+ Will America Airline accept to transport safety seats on board?

Special orders

Yes. American Airlines accepts most safety seats used in motor vehicles for use in aircraft. The seat must have a solid back and seat, restraint straps installed to securely hold the child and a label indicating approval for use on an aircraft.

Some requirements for safety seat:
- The safety seat must not be arranged at an exit row or in the rows on either side of an exit row.
- Seat should be set in the direction suitable to the size of the child and according to the instructions on the label.
- On the seat, the child must remain in the safety with the harness fastened during takeoff, landing and whenever the “fasten seatbelt” sign is on.
- Passengers must have bought a seat for the child, or a seat must be available next to their seat. If an unoccupied, adjoining seat is not available, the gate agent will check the safety seat to the final destination.
+ Can I bring stroller on American Airlines flights?

Yes. As regulations of American Airlines speciall needs, each customer is allowed to bring 01 stroller. Strollers which are small, collapsible and weighup to 20lb/9kg can be checked at the gate. Any stroller of more than 20lb/9 kg, large or non−collapsible must be checked at the ticket counter. Each passengers can bring 01 stroller and one 01 safety seat. Both items may be checked at the ticket counter or one item can be checked at the gate and one at the counter. These items are checked at no charge.
