What happends to may baggage if flight is canceled or diverted by United Airways?

If your flight is canceled and/or you are rerouted, please contact the airline call center at 1-877-847-0045 as soon as possible to advise us of the change. The airline will either cancel the order at no cost to passengers, or if you wish, the carrier will dispatch revised arrival details to drivers and proceed with delivery.

What is cancellation fee of baggage order if my travel plans change after the reservation with United Airlines?

If a passenger makes a cancellation before 24 hours to the arrival time of the flight, he will not have to pay cancellation fee. When should I make any cancellation United Airlines baggage in my flight?
Checked baggage
Passengers can order cancellation at least 24 hours before the arrival time of UA flight, and they will not have to pay cancellation fee. If passengers cancel within 24 hours before the arrival time of UA flights, the fee is 15USD. Please contact the airline’s call center (1-877-847-0045). If cancellation is made within 24 hours and the airline cannot complete the cancellation prior to dispatch of the local driver, passengers have to be responsible for the full cost of the order.

What are rules on United Airlines checked baggage?
Checked baggage
The fee of UA checked baggage may be applied for the first 02 pieces with a maximum weight of 50lbs (23 kg) per bag and a maximum exterior linear dimension of 62 inches (158cm) per bag, including wheels and handles.
Passengers should use the baggage calculator to determine the checked baggage service charges. If the first flight of passengers is a codeshare flight or with another business airline partner, the allowance and charges may differ.
Additional checked bags or bags exceeding allowable weights and dimensions are all considered excess baggage. The fee will be charged, depending on oversized and/or overweight baggage.
Some special customers are exempt from paying checked baggage service charges for 01 or more bags within specified size and weight limits. Customers traveling with MileagePlus Premier members or dependents traveling with active U.S. military personnel will have the same exemption as the customer whose status provides for the benefit, as long as they are traveling on the same reservation. The exemption is not applied to group reservations including 10 or more passengers; or the flight is not operated by United Airlines or United Express.

Customers as member of Mileage Plus Premier must have a valid Mileage Plus Premier membership at time of check-in to qualify for the waiver of service charges.

- United Business, United Business First, United First, United Global First, Premier Gold, Premier Platinum, Premier 1K, Global Services, Star Alliance Gold (traveling in First, Business or Business First), and Active U.S. military and accompanied dependents on personal travel: 70 lbs (32kg) and max size per checked bag of 62 inches(158 cm), including wheels and handles
- Active U.S. military personnel on orders and military personnel/dependents on orders for relocation: 70 lbs (32kg) and max size per checked bag of 115 inches (292 cm), including wheels and handles
- United Economy and Premier Silver: 50 lbs (23kg) and max size per checked bag of 62 inches (158cm), including wheels and handles

What to know about checked baggage of United Airlines?
Checked baggage
- Should not put valuable items such as electronic equipment, cameras, film, cash, jewelry, medication, prescriptions and keys with checked baggage
- Place your name and address on the outside of your baggage, and place your name and address inside the bag.
- Be aware of items that are restricted from checked baggage.
- All checked baggage is screened by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Please refrain from locking your checked baggage, or use a TSA Accepted & Recognized Lock. If the contents of your baggage require closer inspection by TSA agents, unrecognized locks may be broken to gain access. The TSA will not reimburse passengers for unrecognized locks broken as a result of the security screening process.
- Remove any straps, hangers and protruding objects from each bag before checking it.
- Do not stuff too much things in baggage, it split during the trip through the system of conveyor belts.
- Should not carry breakage or damage to fragile items as checked baggage.
- Baggage will generally not be accepted for check-in more than four hours before scheduled flight departure.
- Be sure to inform us of your final destination if you are connecting, so your baggage can be checked through if possible.
- You will receive a numbered claim check for each bag that is checked. Please make sure that the number of claim checks you are given corresponds to the number of bags you are checking. It is important that you keep the claim check(s) until your trip is completed and you have received all of your checked baggage.
- Please claim your baggage immediately upon arrival at your destination.
- Place your name and address on the outside of your baggage, and place your name and address inside the bag.

If one box is accepted on ExpressJet Airlines, Inc. doing business as United Express with flights to the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico, instead of one bag; maximum 50 pounds and 42 inches (107 cm).
- For United Economy class: baggage exceeding the allowable weight (50 pounds/23 kg) will be accepted as noted.
- Baggage exceeding the allowable size (62 linear inches/158 cm) (total length + width + height) will be accepted as noted below.
Note: The following items of sporting equipment will not be accepted during an excess baggage embargo when no excess baggage is allowed: bicycles, hang gliders, pole vaults, surfboards, wakeboards and windsurfing boards.
