Dak Lak the pristine and untouched land

Fri, 08 Aug 2014. Last updated Fri, 19 Oct 2018 15:53

Dak Lak is the most pristine province in Central Highlands Vietnam. Very few tourists choose this land as one of their destinations in Vietnam without knowing that this is a wonderful place to explore green forests, majestic waterfalls and mountains...

I am wanderlust, especially; I have a strong desire for eco-tourism. As you know, nowadays, people have undergone many natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, etc. Besides, many other phenomenons like global warming, climate change and greenhouse effect also happen due to the unhealthy lifestyle of human beings. Thereby, I prefer eco-tourism to luxury and ultimate ones. Choosing Dak Lak as one of my Vietnam destinations, I had a wonderful trip exploring truly natural landscapes and immersing myself into the nature without harming the environment. In my experience, there are 5 things that you should not miss when you go sightseeing in Dak Lak.

Lak Lake - the largest natural lake of Dak Lak

Lak Lake in Dak Lak

My first experience in Dak Lak is rowing in Lak Lake.  I was completely impressive by the wild and charming beauty of landscapes here. This is actually an ideal place for tourists to do some leisure activities like kayaking, swimming, and enjoying Space of gong culture performances. Especially, I really love a wonderful moment when I was sitting on a boat and watching the sunset.  I felt myself totally relieving all stress and tired from works and complicated life. In addition, I also had a great chance to discover the unique culture of M'Nong, an ethnic minority group of Vietnam.

Dray Sap Waterfall - the majestic waterfall

From a local resident, I was told that Dray Sap is also called as Chong Waterfall (Husband Waterfall). Located in an area having many caves, forest trees, and tangled vines, Dray Sap Waterfall is masterpiece at the hands of Creator.

Riding elephants in Yok Don National Park

The most interesting thing I did on a trip to Dak Lak was riding an elephant in Yok Don National Park. I promise you it will be a really new, strange and unforgettable experience . At the first time, I felt a little bit scared, however, when sitting on the elephant back and enjoying the beauty of the National Park, all the anxiety is replaced by the excitement and eagerness. Sitting on the back of the elephant and passing through green forests, I could saw many types of animals and plants, which are typical for tropical forests in Southeast Asia. This is actually an ideal place for those who want to completely immerse in the nature.

Yang Prong Cham Tower

Cham tower Yang Prong in Ea Sup, Dak Lak

Yang Prong Cham Tower is my next destination after visiting Yok Don National Park. The tower has the beauty of ancient architecture because it was built in 13th century. Accordingly, it was constructed to worship the Siva God, who symbolizes for the happiness and the prosperity according to beliefs of Cham people.

Enjoying a cup of Trung Nguyen coffee

Enjoy famous coffee in Dak Lak

Set foot in Central Highlands Vietnam in general and in Dak Lak in particular, you should try a cup of local coffee here. This place is considered as a paradise of coffee in Vietnam, where many types of coffee mare grown. Sitting in a village of Trung Nguyen coffee and enjoying a cup of coffee will bring you a truly sense of pure coffee.
