The locals will hang their products on a pole right on their boat for trading.  It is unnecessary to peddle like markets on the mainland. On the way from Can Tho to Long Xuyen city (An Giang) through Thot Not approximately 5km, tourist will set foot on Bang Lang Stork Garden. Tourists visiting the stork garden will have a chance to admire tens of thousands of species of storks (white storks, gray storks, black storks, cormorants) swooping down branches of bamboo, swinging in the wind and profusely chirping... The scenery becomes extremely romantic and poetic.

Binh Thuy ancient house is situated in Bui Huu Nghia Street, Binh Thuy ward, Binh Thuy district, Can Tho City. The French-style architecture ancient house includes 5 compartments and 2 roofs. It was built in 1870 by Duong family.

French architecture is shown of by the floor 1m higher than the yard, 4 elegant bow- shaped sidesteps connecting with the house through the large yard. The high ceiling decorated with motifs along with many gudgeon multi-size doors provides the relatively airy space. The house's facade is designed with reliefs...  Whole red rose-shaped bricks and black ones for paving along with iron fences are ordered and purchased from France. This is a rare model of ancient houses are relatively intactly left helping researchers to ascertain about daily life, culture and evolution under different impacts at the turn of 2 century of inhabitants in Mekong River Delta.

Ong Pagoda

Inside Ong Pagoda -  Can Tho

Ong Pagoda is located in Hai Ba Trung Street, Tan An ward, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho City. This is religious practical and cultural rendezvous of Hoa (the Chinese) people in Can Tho. The pagoda was recognized as a national-level artistic architectural monument by Ministry of Culture - Information in 1993. Ong Pagoda retains a unique architecture which has been almost intactly preserved from the beginning. The pagoda was built from 1894 to 1896 on an area of ​​approximately 532m².  The roof was covered with Yang – Yin tiles and decorated by the great number of colorful ceramic motifs such as “2 dragons reaching the moon”, “fish turns into dragon” or unicorn. The pagoda worships Guan Gong, Nanhai Guanyin and Earth Goddess... Ong Pagoda is one of the most appealing attractions in Can Tho for those who would like to explore the unique architecture along with tranquil and peaceful scenery.

Nam Nha Pagoda

Nam Nha Temple is situated at 612 Cach Mang Thang Tam (August Revolution) street, An Thoi ward, Binh Thuy district, Can Tho City. The temple was built by Mr. Nguyen Giac Nguyen in 1895. The temple was restored in 1917. The spacious yard is home to trees with bonsai higher than 2m at centerboard. There are the altar of Mr. Giac Nguyen and 3 statues of the Sakyamuni Buddha, Confucius and Lao Tzu in the chancel. Both sides of are the main hall are 2 rows of house with 5 compartments for men and women. Behind the temple is the tomb garden, which is the resting place of those who participating in the Dong Du movement and the construction of the temple. Today, tourists going to Nam Nha Pagoda not only have a chance to admire the ancient and solemn beauty of the temple, but also ascertain about the exciting activities of the patriotic scholars in Dong Du movement in early hardships of Vietnam's revolution.

Tay Do Market formerly was a general wholesale market transiting items between many locals and countries in the region. Beside the function of commodity exchanges, the market is home to food services and entertainment. Although having been operated recently, Tay Do Night Market is seen as a unique, appealing cultural tourist attraction in Can Tho, alluring not only the locals but also international tourists when participating Vietnam tours to Can Tho.
