The former name of the fishing village is Cap De with the unique places such as Vung Vieng sewer, Red Cong, or Cong Dam. Vung Vieng fishing village is the system of the floating village on sea. All of living activities happen on the boat. Previously, families lived on their boat and concentrated into a small bay to prevent the storm. Over time, the community has been organized into a village. They started constructing contemporary houses from wood, bamboo, or leaves. Then thatch roofed rafts with wooden walls were gradually replaced by the flat roofed rafts. Vung Vieng fishing village now becomes one of the most appealing attractions in Bai Tu Long alluring tourists by its marvelous natural landscapes. Along with the beauty of endlessly stretching mountains, pristine marvelous caves and grottoes, tourists have an opportunity to comfortably sunbathe on flawless sandy beaches along the mountains, participating in the fishing activities, and enjoy delicious seafood of the land.

If having much more time, tourists should take part in the tour "Vong Vieng Night" to enjoy and admire the indigenous cultural values.
