Economy Class of Jetstar includes Economy Starter, Plus bundle allowing passengers to change the time or date of your flight without paying change fees (fare difference may apply), choose your seat from our standard seat selection, earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points and Status Credits, and more.

The Max bundle allows you to change the departure and destination of your flight and only pay any applicable differences. That’s not all, the Max bundle is also refundable (a fee applies) and gives you free seat selection from any seat including Extra Leg Room and Upfront Seats and Qantas Points and Status Credits too.

- Refund on fars and Jestar: Non – refundable.

- Miss check-in deadline or fail to board within the required time. Non-refundable/loss of fare. Check your itinerary for strict check-in and boarding times.

- Time/date change: Permitted upon payment of the applicable Change Fee and Fare Difference within Change Deadline.

- Departure / Destination change: not permitted.

- Passenger Name Changes: Permitted upon payment of the applicable Change Fee and Fare Difference within Change Deadline. Name changes can be made for an individual passenger on a booking, but must apply to all flights for that passenger. Name changes are not permitted for Qantas Frequent Flyer, Qantas & Jetstar Any Seat Award bookings or JAL Mileage Bank bookings.

- Fare and services changes: Subject to payment of Change Fee and Fare Difference applicable at time of change, Starter fares can be changed to an available Starter, Starter Fare with Plus Bundle, Starter Fare with Max Bundle, Business Fare or Business Fare with Max Bundle.

- Change Fees and Fare Difference: Change Fees do not apply for permitted changes to a Starter Fare with Plus Bundle.

- Fare Difference applies per passenger, per flight. Your new fare will be at least the amount of the fare you originally booked and may be more. You cannot change to a lower fare. No refund will be applicable if a lower fare is available. Fare Difference is the difference (if any) between the fare or fare with bundle originally booked and an available fare or fare with bundle on the date of change which is at least the same fare or, if not available, the next available higher fare. The Fare Difference may be substantial.

Fees are subject to change and are applied at the rate current at time of change. Refunds must be requested before the end of the day of your original scheduled departure. Your fare is non-refundable if you have changed to a Starter Fare with Max Bundle after making your original booking or if you request a refund after the end of the day of the scheduled departure. Add ons can only be refunded when requested as part of a refund of the applicable flight. For Jetstar Holidays hotels, activities and car hire bookings see Holidays Terms and Conditions. For refunds of Qantas & Jetstar Any Seat Award bookings under Max fare rules, payment of the refund fee must be with money (not points). Qantas Points will be re-credited back to the redeeming Member’s account and any money payments will be refunded to the original form of payment used.

Passenger with ticket of economy class can change flight time. However, each kind of ticket has its own conditions of changing tickets as well as change fees:

Economy Starter: passenger can change date, time of flight. Passenger must pay change fees and differences (if any) within change deadline.

Economy Starter Plus (Plus Bundle): passenger can change date, time of flight. Passenger must pay change fees and differences (if any) within change deadline.

Economy Starter Max (Max Bundle): passenger can change date, time of flight. Passenger must pay change fees and differences (if any) within change deadline.
+ Buying Jetstar ticket of Starter, can I change departure?

Passenger can change departure of Economy Class ticket. Each kinds of class has its own conditions of changing tickets and fees:

- Economy Starter and Economy Starter Plus (Plus Bundle): passenger cannot change departure or destination.
- Economy Starter Max (Max Bundle): Permitted upon payment of the applicable Fare Difference within the Change Deadline.
